Hey, InsanityBringer. Someone reminded me that Duke Advance and Doom 2 GBA (which doesn't use the Doom engine or WADs) were done by the same company, a weird little Aussie studio called Torus Games. Might be worth looking into those.

I think it looks good on the imps, but not so good on the zombies.
Re: WHAT THE HELL are you working on (WIP THREAD not gossip)
I mentioned it on my post here:http://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=30012Nash wrote:Seconded, I wanted to have a go at it myself.Bouncy wrote:would like it if you answered this, Tragos.Bouncy wrote:could you give the actual name of the program?
Vista Pro 3.0 is the program and it is very rare. I was lucky to receive the one and only NIB copy in existence from Amazon. PM me if you would like to know more.
I think the DOOM port on GBA still uses the .wad format. Though the GBA version appears to be rendered in true 3d and not 2.5d. The original DOS Doom required an IBM compatible 386 or better with 4 megs ofKinsie wrote:Hey, InsanityBringer. RAM. A lower res stripped down port of Doom in its original format should be able to run on GBA hardware. Even though the system is only 16mhz it can handle more graphics data than perhaps a 586 or high grade Pentium from the early 90's.

I seem to have found a newer version of it with a little poking around. Heh.

bit on the expensive side but I think I'll go through with it. It looks really appealing as something to use.

Heh, VistaPro. Dayum, I'm sure that I remember using a really early version of that on the Amiga. The name is certainly familiar any way.
Re: WHAT THE HELL are you working on (WIP THREAD not gossip)
Wow... Glad to see an updated version was actually made. I wanted the older version for the 256 colors.
Yes Enjay there was a version for the Amiga and Mac as well. Identical in function. I may get the newer version once I've mastered 3.0. I may even add in new tree's models via 3DS/autodesk. It also looks like the interface has changed little since 1993. $50 is expensive? That's about right for new software. I cannot imagine paying over $60 for a video game...... EVER

it's expensive if you don't really have an income. I rarely like going above the $30 mark for anything if I can avoid it. x.x
Re: WHAT THE HELL are you working on (WIP THREAD not gossip)
Pretty much the story I thought up when making the guy is that he's an "elite zombie". A former human that got "promoted" and had a demonic spirit posses his body so he may use the all-mighty Unholy Unmaker. And he got his armour all badassed up with spikes and shit.NeuralStunner wrote:Unmaker Zombie. The gun ate half his face.CommanderZ wrote:What/who is the guy from the last screenshot?

Doom GBA does. Doom 2 GBA does not.Tragos wrote:I think the DOOM port on GBA still uses the .wad format.
