Slightly Doom 3 inspired, this is my first monster sprite edit. The first thing that I learned is that doing all of the rotations gets old fast. O_o

The bottom part is a little smudgy. I'm having trouble adding anything to it by hand because Doom sprites are so damn noisy that it's hard to make out any detail at the pixel level. I suppose that it's because they're based on photographs.

Not bad for your first sprite edit, which actually looks pretty decent if you want to make a pistol Z-Sec.
Only thing is that the hand not holding the pistol looks pretty weird.

EDIT: Also, concerning the first rotation sprite, the left arm see like it doesn't have a shoulder pad, and the torso looks oddly-shaped.

It's actually pretty decent for your first monster edit. Hellstorm Archon pretty much addressed everything that needed to be touched-up on, other than his right leg being a little skinny-looking and his busty chest on the A2A8 frame. Again, it's still pretty good.

Now here's a little something that was sort of inspired/stolen from Marty Kirra:

Eh.

EDIT: I apologize for the use of the Duke shotgun. It just fitted the Doom 2.5 barrel like a glove.

Looks good! Well, aside from the stock; it looked odd when it was made out of wood, now it just looks mishapen. :P

Finally finished the walking frames and after a bit of tweaking they animate reasonably well. I'm SO glad I started this one first.

Anyway, I'm torn between 2 attack animations - a 2-frame stab or a 3-frame slash (a la D3 zombie, but with a knife). I'm leaning towards the slash, but it's 5 extra frames.

Also made her face a bit less cartoony.

Both? :P

Looks good, by the way. I would use them if you don't mind. (Nothing that'll be relased soon, if at all, so no worries there.)

Why not just have two attacking frames? With the magic of decorate enemies can have as many different attacks as you want! :)

But this is looking awesome! Keep it up.

That looks great - is there an unzombified female scientist sprite around? I'm using male scientists at the moment (The old Blake Stone edits) but it would be nice to have some female scientists as well.

Cheers for the feedback :) I could just have her lob the knife at you, but we'll see :P

@Neural: While I plan to use these enemies myself at some point, I don't have any specific plans for them at the mo, so once they're done they'll be fair game.

I'll be making one based on those sprites (along with the other [male] ones I plan to do) when I've got the last of the frames done. Possibly even player skins.

Can't promise anything, but I'll give it a go, certainly.

EDIT: Also front attack frames:

Hmmm, my attempt at a taller version of the Strife Crusader didn't work out as well as I'd hoped and, unfortunately, I don't think I have the skills to turn it into a full sprite anyway.

I don't suppose anyone fancies having a go at something like this do they?
