If you find practice "tedius" (it's spelled "tedious," by the way), then this line of work might not be for you. Thing is, most of us that are capable of making good maps have been making maps for a long time - don't worry. Just keep making maps, learn by looking over other peoples' work (don't just rip it off...) and apply the things you learn to your own maps.

These things take time. Don't worry about missing your chance - once CC4 is finished, who knows, maybe there'll be a 5. =P

There is no trick. You just have to practice at it. Unless you're some kind of super-genius, you can never get better with anything without taking the time to practice. You can't just take the easy way out with anything in life. If that's your attitude with map making, hell, if that's your attitude with everything else in life... well, that's just sad.

Weasel: No, Camstudio is BLOODY AWFUL. It's "free", but it says "TRIAL" every 20 seconds and does not record any gameplay, it records the titlescreen, but doesn't record anything except a black screen.
