Detail Level

Post by Setsunaaa »

I just read today about that project and hope the detail level will be really high. Is there already a viewable collection or some levels ?

As comparison/challange:
play par-lutz
Review at http://home13.inet.tele.dk/CNH/par.htm
http://crydee.sai.msu.ru/ftproot/pub/re ... Ports/p-r/
http://public.planetmirror.com/pub/idga ... Ports/p-r/
(2 additional example working links)
which has a VERY high detail level and plays VERY nice with light in some levels.
Areas I like very much:
e1m2, got straight through the first door and the (noclip if you want) go on in that directon through the second door.
e1m3, the crane including the shadow looks nice, however there is no such place in doom1 episode 1.
e1m4: the "outside walkways" area, the room with the yellow key.
etc etc etc :).

If the levels are up to that quality with detail level of par-lutz this remake could get in line with the best ever wads made.

Who is working on it now? I thought it would be better for Bio to work with his own script but if I need to mod it myself then I will... But be warned it may take a while, I'll have to learn the script and then figure out how to mod it, plus I am busy this weekend.

I don't know who wants to do it but it would be great if it is soon finished. I wanted to release the map one week ago!

I tried that. I failed to determine how to do so without necessarily including ending text and changing the music. After that credit sequence, the Doom music seems out of place. If someone else knows how to do this, please do so.

Bio: Does this mean you're not gonna add the easter egg we talked about? :(

Can't you just have some text saying something like "Congratulations, you have complerteed the ZDCMP" or something? I'm sure you can find some suitable music too... maybe if you just play my main song again?

If Tormentor gives the okay on text, background flat, and music to use, I'll put it in.
