NAM "Broken Arrow"
Re: NAM "Broken Arrow"
Hit "control" and F12 until you get up to 27060 cycles. Are you using dosbox 0.74?
Re: NAM "Broken Arrow"
Yes. I'll try the Ctrl-F12 method.
Seems to have worked. Thanks!

Re: NAM "Broken Arrow"
Let me know if in your version you encounter the same bug as me... Even more common on the 10 for $10 compilation pack. (A very well known bug)
When you call in fire support from any vehicle or aircraft, the Pointman ends up taking damage? I'm not sure if this is the damage the support craft are sustaining or its the actual damage being inflicted by your friendly forces? Even when miles away all of a sudden the Pointman dies for no reason.... Its very annoying! Maybe the early 3.5 disk version doesn't suffer from this same issue?

A few new problems:
Apparently upping the cycle rate makes briefings and text go by EXTREMELY quickly, far more so than I can read. Also, sometimes when I fire it makes a beeper/buzzer noise instead of a rat-tat-tat sound.

Doesn't Dosbox have dynamic cycling these days? (Derailed thread warning. Oh no!)

You know, more importantly, HOW did you get the graphics? Did you or your contact manage to crack that compression? If so, I've got a few things I could use some help with...
Re: NAM "Broken Arrow"
Posted the resources up for download. Not much at the moment but worth a look for those who want to help.
Re: NAM "Broken Arrow"
CyberDemon5150 has signed on to do major decorate work and code all the weapons. Thanks!
Re: NAM "Broken Arrow"
I got a good obscure weapon for you:

Re: NAM "Broken Arrow"
Great find! I've long heard stories of such a weapon existing, but thought it was pure myth! I wouldn't want to get shot by that thing...

Re: NAM "Broken Arrow"
It does but by default it only does it with things in protected mode (E.G Stuff that has the DOS/4GW header before starting)Slax wrote:Doesn't Dosbox have dynamic cycling these days? (Derailed thread warning. Oh no!)
Re: NAM "Broken Arrow"
This project has been put on the sidelines for now. I will look into this again at a later date.
Reason:
I want re-focus all of my efforts on AvM instead. Also because of the lack of support, CyberDemon5150 who offered initially to help changed his mind after a computer failure.

Re: NAM "Broken Arrow"
Hmm...hope you get back to it. I was wondering how you were doing both of these things at the same time. I thought you may have been a metahuman or something.
Re: NAM "Broken Arrow"
lol
I basically spent a solid week on this, while taking a break from AvM.
