I see it as kind of a rocket launcher. Short charge time, not too shabby fire rate. A single projectile. Explodes into a cloud of plasma (or whatever) that stays there for a while, dealing MASSIVE DAMAGE!

Eugh. Those powerups look horrid. (GZDoom has hq4x if i want sprites to look like that.)

Those recoil frames really need to be crispened up. Unless of course they go by fast enough, in which case you could handwave it as "motion blur".

Hey, I like those! Agreed on the blurring, though (it'd look better without), but that's a simple case to fix either way.
