Before posting your Resource, please make sure you can answer YES to any of the following questions:
  • Is the resource ENTIRELY my own work?
  • If no to the previous one, do I have permission from the original author?
  • If no to the previous one, did I put a reasonable amount of work into the resource myself, such that the changes are noticeably different from the source that I could take credit for them?
If you answered no to all three, maybe you should consider taking your stuff somewhere other than the Resources forum.

Ooh I remember that game. It's where you had to do mouse gestures to cast spells isn't it? I loved that idea, although in practice it was a bit unwieldy.

If you want to try the game, it's available (cheaply, of course) from GOG. They've even talked Arkane into a new update, bringing it to v1.19.

EDIT: Corrected URL (Thanks, Gez) and fixed version number.

Wasn't this supposed to be like some sort of spiritual successor to the Ultima Underworld games (which I really, REALLY loved)?

I never got around to buying this game when it came out... I really should get it now...

Yeah, the creator's cited the Ultima Underworld games as inspiration. It's a really good game, so I recommend picking it up. Also, if you're looking for more hack & slash action afterward, try Dark Messiah of Might & Magic. It's more linear and action oriented than Arx Fatalis, but it's a fun game in its own rite.

I certainly do. Not quite sure how that happened, but thanks for picking it up, Gez. Faulty post fixed.
