I don't talk muck about my love for (American) football, but Jebus Krust there's an honest-to-God shootout going on at Auburn, Alabama. As of this post, 100 points have been scored between Arkansas and Auburn.

Not really, I don't like wrestling, I don't really follow racing anymore, the reason I love American football is because of how tactical the game is and how much of a team sport it is.NeuralStunner wrote:Closet redneck?Project Dark Fox wrote:I don't talk muck about my love for (American) football
EDIT: 108 points and more to come, good Lord.

American Football is interesting, but I don't watch it much anymore.

NASCAR used to be fun. When they introduced the Chase for the Cup, shit has stunk. (I'm sure there were other reasons as well)Ceeb wrote:Unlike the Non-Athletic Sport Centered Around Rednecks?
I think the scoring is done. This game is over.
Final. Arkansas 43, Auburn 65. Holy shit. Never SEEN so many points before.

But yeah. I don't see the thrill in watching a bunch of cars driving around and around. (And think of all the fuel they burn doing so...)
... I wonder how many people watch in hopes of seeing a wreck?

HOLY FUCKING SHIT MAN
LEFT TURN
Reminds me of when I used to tease my deceased aunt, who was a devout nasshole. As I told a pal:

Ceeb: "SHUT UP ROBERT"
Ceeb: "Holy shit! LEFT TURN!"
Ceeb: "ROBERT"
Ceeb: "Man, the cars would go faster without those little signs on them."
Ceeb: "THEY'RE NOT ATTACHED ROBERT"

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
That was some of the draw for me. I also enjoyed how competitive they were, before they introduced weaker tires, smaller gas tanks (both of these force the cars to pit in more often and breaks up the racing itself), and over the past couple years they've forced drivers to "take it easy". The best race I've seen was several years ago in Talladega, where near the end there was an over-20 car pile-up -- the action was hot the whole time as everyone was bumper to bumper, bumping and grinding to get more track position. It just isn't like that anymore, and after seeing a couple of interviews, even the drivers are getting pissed off.NeuralStunner wrote:... I wonder how many people watch in hopes of seeing a wreck?
The best tracks were either the ovals with the high banking where they never let off the gas (Daytona, Talladega), ovals with no fucking* room whatsoever (Bristol, Martinsville), or the road courses (Sonoma [AKA Sears Point], Watkins Glen). Aside for Charlotte, or Lowe's Motor Speedway, whatever it is now, the rest is ALL filler. That is a LOT of filler.
* Fuck you, NeuralStunner, fopr picking apart my posts.

Personally I find golf more interesting than racing. Unless it's horse racing, or dachshund racing, or something like that.
