I guess I never noticed because I'm always using the hardware renderer, ah well...

Will it be reasonably single-player compatible? As in, not bone-crushingly difficult for one player?

One player might have a tricky time, but I think single players get more money than co-op groups so they can buy more gadgets to help out (turrets, marine spawns, Random Weapons, etc).

If this is not the case, then it should be.

well, in multiplayer, the monsters, items, and pretty much everything. gets multiplied per player ingame.

I remember that being the case a long time ago. I also remember mappers such as Torm having a very hard time keeping difficulty reasonable :P but, with all the time that's passed, I'm thinking quality should be unavoidable, and look forwards to finally seeing it released (and seeing what Morph did with that '06/'07 map of mine :P )

I've been playtesting this extensively as of late, and I guarantee that most players will at the very least thoroughly enjoy the first three tiers. The last three tiers, however, are for somewhat more seasoned players. :P

...I may be biased by being a member of the quality control team, but my point still stands. :P

So is there any chance we might get some new preview screen shots before this actually gets released? :D

It's been 9 months since there's been new shots, I'd love to see some more new shots! :)

Has it been released yet? Because I spotted an inaccessible Stronghold Beta server on Doomseeker.
