Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Just a Styer AUGA3 I slapped together from something I found at FPSB
I'll fix the finger later, it looks pretty weird.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Caleb trades in his thrown explosives for a new model.
For comparison, Jon's hand w/grenade.
Edit: Nice AUG. Good to see someone else that touches up rips.

Hmm, what a Smexy steyr.

Honestly, I perfer my AUGs with the scope and no-grenade launcher. Still nice.ZDG wrote:Hmm, what a Smexy steyr.

Just playin' around, always thought that doom64 shotgun lacked 'proper' reload frames
If anyone would have a use for this, tell me, I can make all the frames

Perhaps do the same with the Super Shotgun and Plasma Rifle?Cage wrote:Just playin' around, always thought that doom64 shotgun lacked 'proper' reload frames

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Nice. I always loved the almost hypnotic pumping action of the Doom shotgun and the D64 one was horribly disappointing to me in comparison. The D64 one has much the same action as the quake one - another weapon which, to me, was disappointing in the way it was animated.
In fact, very few, if any, weapons in any games have had such a satisfying animation (IMO) as the Doom shotgun. Possibly the Duke Nukem one comes close, but not that close.

@Cage: That is DEFINITELY worth finishing! If you can do the same for the SSG and plasma gun, I can guarantee you that it won't go to waste

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Cage, if you can finish that shotgun I'll get the sound and start working on a wad.
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Actually the only thing keeping me from liking the D64 weapons better is the lack of animation in the shotties and (to a lesser extent) the plasma rifle. You should totally finish that up!
Then all we'll need are the missing D64 monsters, and we're all set!

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Now that I can see the D64 shotty on a better monitor, my only concern is that the idle frame has a flat-ish top to it (as the D64 sprite always had - I don't think it is just meant to be reflections or whatever) but it seems to look a bit rounder on the pumping frame.
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Wow, I thought there would be no demand for those sprites I think I've didn't seen anything D64 themed for a long while
I'll post in the resource thread when I'm done
