[sprites] Workman

Post by Enjay »

This is a sprite set that I started ages ago and am unlikely to ever finish. It is a little workman wearing a red boilersuit and hard-hat. It is pretty rough and would definitely need some work. (The hands don't match the face, the death frames were only just started, generally it's a bit pixelly and rough and the stance is in the "air-guitar pose" of a Doom sprite with the gun removed. Also, his pistol appears out of nowhere.) However, they might be of use to someone as a base for something.

Credit to Scuba Steve because the body was based (IIRC) on the cop from Ghostbusters Doom. The head is a Strife peasant.

Not bad. But too bad he's wearing red, because that'll make him very hard for anyone who wants to re-colour him, come his gib sprites.

Yes, I realised that too late myself.

I recolored his suit and hardhat orange so you can recolor him. I also fixed his skintone so that they match up and can also be recolored.

Looks like a Wolfenstein 3d element to me.

The original sprite for most of it was based on Scuba Steve's cop/security guard from Ghost Busters Doom but with a new head (based on the Strife Peasant) and a new hat. So, I'm not sure what the base for Steve's sprite was. The death sprites are definitely Wolf based though I think that I may have used some Astrostein sprites rather than "pure" Wolf 3D sprites as a base.

You could do a frame where it's grabbing the pistol from it's pocket. Then the pistol is not instantly appearing to the workmans hand. Just a (lame) suggestion...

Looks like Stanely Tweedle (if you get the reference, you deserve a cookie).
