AEoD is not meant for skulltag. Period. I've explained a few times that it wasn't meant for it as well.

I've got another reason: My friend and I tried to play AEoD online from a Skulltag server I started, and when either of us joined, the connection timed out.

That might've been because Skulltag hates the A_Jump method of spawning in multiplayer.

...I think it's just outright obvious to say that aeod and skulltag hate each other. But hey, I was at least able to import DBT into GvH, make him a player class and kick some ass with him. All attacks made into weapons.

Hey, i managed to get AEoD and Skulltag working perfectly with eachother! Using the latest skulltag SVN.

You seriously sound like a five year old when you do that. As a result...JMAA wrote:I need that thing. @magnus: Try playing it online with friends. See if it'll time out your connection when they join in.

I can guarantee that with all the content of AEoD, skulltag won't be able to handle keeping up with it for a long period of time. So again, I seriously doubt that it'll be coop-worthy. That's why it's all based for single-player use, though if you like being able to respawn there is the coop-soloing, albiet you have extra enemies to kill.

Just played this and found that numerous sprites from DOOM 2.5 were used without permission. I have like to ask the remotion of these (DOOM 3 weapons and monsters) as the mod goes against the spirit of the DOOM 2.5 team. Back then when we made the sprites, the idea was that everyone could use them as long as they were for a serious DOOM 3 in DOOM 2 mod and the author gave credit.
At the moment I'm the last author of DOOM 2.5 still around, but the concept about the usage of our resources was clear.
As this isn't neither a DOOM 3 in DOOM 2 mod, neither a serious mod (random shoot whatever that moves mods with random monsters don't count as serious no matter the quality of them) For this reason I want to ask the author of AEOD to remove our sprites.
Necessary link to DOOM 2.5 with the prove of our authorship of these sprites (that were ripped in the atrocity named dm3guns or something).

Fair enough. I took the weapons from a doom3 weapons mod that was used over here (popular, due to the advanced decorate code for them) at the time (is quite old IIRC); the Doom 2.5 mod is something I heard of, but I never laid my hands on it until now. Anyway, That's fine, the weapon sprites have been removed already in the development version of aeod. As for the monsters, which are those? Seriously, I cant see where I used them, because all doom3 monsters I have in the mod came from Ghastly Dragon's project. I might be wrong about this, that's why Im asking you this specifically.Vegeta(dw) wrote:Just played this and found that numerous sprites from DOOM 2.5 were used without permission. Still, while watching the resources in this ZIP you linked to, I see there are other graphics (like smoke and the like) that I have used too. However, I do wonder if that's also original stuff made by the team of doom 2.5; all that stuff is quite generic and like I said, I didnt have this mod around, so, I got all those graphics from other sources. Still, even if they are original content from said mod, I would like to ask permission to keep using it.
After all, the title of the thread finally was useful for something.
Is music taken from one of the maps in hell revealed 2. I dont know if it has a name.JustGabriel wrote:WHat's the song used on the title screen?

Last I checked, doom 2.5 was credited in the titlemap.
