RIP Espi!
Re: RIP Espi!
I am not certain if I've played any of his maps, but I might check them out.
May he rest in peace. I almost lost a granparent to skin cancer so he has my sympathy.

That video is just powerful... makes me almost want to burst into tears.
Goodbye Espi. :(

Re: RIP Espi!
He made some epic maps.

Re: RIP Espi!
He was a truly talented mapper for Doom and an all around good community member. We will miss you, Espi.

Re: RIP Espi!
I must admit I never played his stuff until now I know he's dead, but anyways, is sad to see such good mapper pass away. I heard last year about his amputed arm and his optimistic view on that, but now... well, I guess that in this way, he doesnt have to deal with pain anymore.

Re: RIP Espi!
There is not much to add here... Espi has been a very talented artist, not only with Doom but also with other things. But this doesn't change anything about the fact that 22 is no age to die because of cancer...

22? He was 22 and his batteries ran out already? Why must the good die young?Tormentor667 wrote:There is not much to add here... His maps are the stuff of legends and I'm sure he was an awesome guy to hang around with.
Rest in peace, Espi.
Re: RIP Espi!
As was pointed out to me, that means he made maps like Ruma when he was about 14/15.

Re: RIP Espi!
I remember when he made the post last year that he had his arm amputated and he wouldn't be able to map anymore. That was the last time I heard anything about it.All I can say is that I'm still shocked...
