It ain't just the Skulltag users who are afraid of change, though I do agree that dwango5 and "vanilla" deathmatch in particular are way overplayed.

Hey, I had a map idea that used the OLD way of gaining mana! (Along with this way) Standing on certain sectors and giving you it.

lol old way? you mean like actually having to stand at pillars to get mana? sounds... .crappy and cheap.



the whole idea of summoning on the go, made it so that you had the versitility(sp) to get da fuk out of the way... but if you have to stand in a "zone" to get mana , then having a base or a place to stay, is meaningless.

Unless the mana zones were in the bases. That would be rather interesting. Might make games last extremely long, though, since it would be very difficult to attack anything.

Maybe in the middle of a map, theres an "Accelerated Mana" zone. There's no cover at all, but your mana regen rate is doubled there.

Maybe it could also damage you the longer you stay in there as well, to not be overpowered.

An enter sector action, and a leave sector action. It wouldn't matter if you are touching the ground or not.

Of course with this, you would need a script to reset it if a player dies in the area.

anything that deals with hurting the person for mana , sounds dumb.... go die in a fire =P


the way you get mana is fine the way it is.... >.> XD and most people "turn off" item spawnage to prevent h4x'd maps anyway =D (i know i would)

Anyway, I'm always open to map gimmicks, including mana item placement, as long as it is tested and well thought out.
