(Sprites) Duke Nukem Hands for ReHanding

Post by TypeSaucy »

Well, i like rehanding sprites that has doomguy hands. but to me, Agent Zero, and caleb hands are gonna get too overused in the future. and nobody made Duke Nukem hands or released them in my watch. so I did it myself, like 5 mins ago. here they are.

I would hope not; with the exception of one project by MidoriMan, I've never actually given anyone permission to use the Agent Zero or updated Diaz hands.

Ouch, what happened to the pallete? And the bad resizing on that pistol holding hand...

I might do a proper sheet at some point. I'm currently very lazy, though.

Apparently no modder that exists knows about sparing the pallete of the Duke graphics. At all. ¬_¬;

I made a colour pallete awhile back which was a mix between Doom's and Duke Nukem 3D's.
Mostly borrowed colours from Duke and put them in Doom's ordering, worked nicely when you ripped resources across.

Well, I began redoing this.

Probably won't finish it though because I'm too lazy.

There's still a lot of palette issues with those hands - look at the highlights, Doom's palette made them all blotchy. I'm sure a color replacer tool could fix those in short order.

The Color Replacer changes one color into another, ignoring everything else. Most good paint programs will have them, and alternatively, you can go in and modify the palette manually.

Or better yet, use the original Duke 3D palette, and anybody that wants to use the graphics can probably PNG-ify them.

2) f'in THIS, EVERY DOOM MODDER THAT USES IT. Gaaah.

1) Even MSPaint of all things has it! It's just hidden within the eraser tool!

And even if they don't have it, they often have a magic wand tool that allows you to select a specific color all over the image and make it so that you only effect that.
