Resource Subforum
Re: Resource Subforum
Can't see a reason not to. If anything it would keep those threads nicely contained for people who aren't that interested. And for people who are, you've got a one-stop-shop.

You've got a vote here, it'd make it a lot easier to find stuff.

Re: Resource Subforum
Okay I vote yes.
However, we'd have to lay sound ground rules. None of this "X"'s resources nonsense, as that doesn't help figure out what's inside the thread. Adding tags to the topic titles (i.e [Sprites] Disco Imp, or [Weapon] Pig blaster) should be mandatory.

Re: Resource Subforum
If we go with cutman's idea (one thread per resource or resource group (A new texture set perhaps)), there should be a request thread similar to the Doom Armory's resource system, where anyone willing could go ahead and finish a request. Naturally there would probably be some rules in this thread though.

Re: Resource Subforum
I think resources could be requested to be finished by simply asking them in the thread

if you're talking about the UT99 textures, I still have those floating around here somewhere.
back on topic....
I agree that we should, but we should be wary of how much this is gonna expose over usage of resources already out there. I hope the forum will encourage using new resources as well as old. I know I'll try my best to contribute.
Re: Resource Subforum
Voted yes, but how would this affect things like the Doom 3 monster pack I was working on? That's probably more of a project than a resource.
Re: Resource Subforum
Another yes from me, it would be very useful to a lot of people.
Re: Resource Subforum
Okay, you've got the forum. I'll leave it to somebody else to move appropriate topics out of the Projects forum into it.

Re: Resource Subforum
Well, I already moved some topics to the new resources forum, are there any others that should be moved?
Re: Resource Subforum
Perhaps my resource request thread should be moved. Alternatively, a new one can be created.

Re: Resource Subforum
Perhaps Tormentor's Contribution and Submissions thread?
