sure, just figured that if you knew you would do it eventually, I would get a head start, both because my mapping time may be (relatively speaking) limited and because I have no projects going on right now and I'd like to be working on something

EDIT: heh, just thought ofsomething, if you wanted to make a trailer for IDIH, you could have the camera switch to the monster right after the player says he heard something and then play through it and record it

Thanx for advice.

Well, anyone has reached the boss ghoul? I still don't know how to fix the script. After the long message you should move and battle it, but I still don't know where's the problem. Any ideas?

you need to unfreeze the players with SetPlayerProperty. i dont know if its even neccessarry to freeze them in the first place.

the fact that losz isnt working is that the poor fella "dies" or more like... completley dissapears in its dissapear state. and also, the death state Goto Death+8 fails bigtime, there isnt even 8 frames in Death, the 0 tic frames isnt counted in theese cases you see.

just trying to help, il enjoy 17 ghouls and 12 maps for sure, just make sure to finish them all xD

17 Ghouls!? damn, yurei would fell left out if the real last master would be based on her powers.(*cough*, Hatred, *cough*) :wink:

edit: i saw Los' decorate. the dissapeering problem thing is cause in the end of the state, it says "Stop".

Ummm... that's intentional. When Los dissapears, another Los actor is spawned on a different location, It's like the Yurei. Los dies when is hit and falls and then calls a function to stop all the continuous respawning and stuff.

PS: The REAL LAST MASTER huh? Well, she IS a Yurei already. And about the 17 ghouls, not all of them have any relation at all with her, since she isn't even the first ever of the ghouls who appeared in the forest, there were ghouls older than her roaming around it even before she had risen from the grave.

oh, ghouls older than her. well i have an idea for the last boss, after you "kill" yurei, she appeers in front of you like few feet away, and when she's ready make a final blow on you, the whole ground starts to shake. then a soul comes out of yurei, actually killing her and taking her hellish soul and consuming it for more hate and anger. this demon is more angrier than yurei. than the soul dissapears, but the fight is not over yet. but it doesnt come after you, you go after it without noticing it's presence. than when it sees you when walk around whatever setting, it literally pops out of nowhere, than it shows you its power that ressurected Yurei. this monstrosity is called the Hatred KameKaze (short name; Hatred or KameKaze) the king of ghouls and true hate. im actually trying to make this ghoul scarier than that screamer CutManMike made. when this thing sees you, it wont make a peep, but when it catches you, you will have a trauma of this for a long time no matter how your used to it. you'll be remembering the scream of it. the hardest thing about it is that the only way to kill it is if you shoot it once it pops out, and is hard to keep aim on him with that speed. and you wont be able to run away or dodge or strafe away from its attack. usually, when you stand on one spot, it wont keep waiting. it will pounce and glide until it catches you in EXTREMLY high speed. its so fast, you can try to shoot it, but only one shot can catch even with a machine gun.

well, you should definitly rework that decorate of yours, since its so messy im sure something there is bugging up. and i dont understand how the stop in the dissappear state would make another one spawn, especially when There is no scripts running!

Yes, a Yurei. Yurei isn't the same of the endboss of ghoul 3, it is only a type of ghost. Her real name is Samara.

By the way, I played that online with a few friends a few days ago. It was pretty laggy and we could barely do anything. There we've got the idea of not even picking the weapons up and trying to kick and punch the monsters to death, and we were successful! We were able to lag melee the ghouls to death! Well, at least until we've got to the endboss, that's where we were laughing at how using the face cover weapon repeatly makes you look like you are hitting your own face, like a facepalm. :P

I suggest adding +NoInteraction to the flames and smoke. This makes them lag way less. Also, there was a flag to reduce network lag. I think it was +ClientsideOnly?

Well, in fact I also don't know who made the glock sprites either, I'd say the fists are edits from somewhere and that the hand for coveriong your eyes is an edit from BLOOD. And the crossbow, that was my personal creation. Rest of resources are all mine. Well, for version 1.0 I'll keep these in mind. Thanks for your support. :)

gonna test as soon as i can (im kinda in for ghoul wads :D) the glock is made by 3D Realms, its from Duke Nukem 3D.
