Floor sounds not played
In Lee Killough's revenge.wad ( http://www.rome.ro/lee_killough/memorabilia/death.shtml ), no floor moving sounds are played when the player activates the linedefs as he moves downstairs. This in comparison to PrBoom, where they are in fact played.

I doubt this is a bug but rather the result of a fix but I'll check anyway.

Doesn't Play the sound:

Sort of plays the sound:
Doomsday - sound silent at the top of the stairs and gets louder the closer you get to the bottom.
Vavoom - as Doomsday
Zdoom 1.23 - intermittently plays the sound ($limit?)
How important it is, is another question entirely.

I haven't seen/checked the wad (pressed for time ATM) but ZDoom omits the DSPSTOP sound for instant-lowering/raising floors. If that's what is going on, then that's why the sound is gone.

Turn on compat_silentinstantfloors to get the noise back.
