hnsolo77: But bricks are smarter!
ProjectAngel: Makes it a lot tougher. Although I'm sure it still wouldn't work. Doesn't inhereit from Baron of Hell.

I'm sure you can replace without* inheritance... it just makes sense to me.XutaWoo wrote:hnsolo77: But bricks are smarter!

And well done to all who participated, congratulations to the winners. I'd say particularly Eriance, but we all know he's that good anyway

EDIT: *now it says what I meant

Doesn't matter for ZDoom, as long as they have call [wiki]A_BossDeath[/wiki] and/or have the BOSSDEATH flag. Using the same magic trick that lets it knows that actor blah replaces actor bleh, the bossdeath function will know that it should count the blah actors, rather than the bleh actors, to know if the special can be triggered yet.XutaWoo wrote:ProjectAngel: Makes it a lot tougher. Re: [Contest] The Beast 2009 - Results Up!
I am currently working on uploading the monsters and writing all the stuff but I have a question: Is it okay for the creators of the Deadabus and the Poe that I edit the sprites a bit to make them look more interesting?
Re: [Contest] The Beast 2009 - Results Up!
There is a small typo on the Overlord's info. It does have a Melee attack.

The Daedaubus is the Mancubus from DOOM 2.5 who I didn't not authorize Aerial to use in the first place, neither to upload to the bestiary. I got the permission to use the Hectebus as base, but the only person I let to use the D3 Mancubus sprites was Ghastly. I'd like to request it's removal from the site, unless you get new sprites for it (I didn't make the DECORATE but the sprites).Tormentor667 wrote:I am currently working on uploading the monsters and writing all the stuff but I have a question: Is it okay for the creators of the Deadabus and the Poe that I edit the sprites a bit to make them look more interesting?
You can get DOOM 2.5 and the prove that I edited these sprites here

@Eriance - Just fixing that.
@Vegeta - That's okay for me, it isn't uploaded yet and won't make it there without your permission.

Re: [Contest] The Beast 2009 - Results Up!
I'm sorry, Aerial asked me if I knew of any Mancubus edits that would work for the Daedabus (since the Hectebus is just a recolor), and I said the only one I knew of was the D2.5 Mancubus by you. I assumed the Doom 2.5 resources were free to use, with proper credit.Vegeta(dw) wrote:The Daedaubus is the Mancubus from DOOM 2.5 who I didn't not authorize Aerial to use in the first place, neither to upload to the bestiary. Hmm, that Poe remind me a lot to my old Quasit monster; it had his fake copies after being invisible, they didn't do damage even they attack you and they dissapear after being shot, altough my monster had more attacks. Well, maybe the sprite set was non well-worked, but it was a good idea.

never saw yours, though mine was directly inspired by the Poe *duh* in the Forest Temple that split into multiples.
