Yours is much nicer than mine, with more room for the numbers, thinner bars, and generally it doesn't get in the way. Mine was partially inspired by Half-Life 2's crosshair statistics, but I think yours is worlds better.

A Doom 64 styled HUD. Extremely tiny due to the fact that all that's new in this HUD is the SBARINFO lump!

Don't mean to bump, but I just had an idea for a rather interesting HUD and wondered if it could be done. In the spirit of Aliens TC (I might be remaking it into an Alien and Predator thing), I was looking through some cool HUDs on this thread when I thought, "What about a motion-tracker"?

So... could a motion tracker be done? It'd look just like it did in the "Aliens" film -- a pulsating semicircle (you being the center) with white dots that appeared whenever and wherever there was movement within a certain area.

A motion-tracker would require a lot of ACS and extra preparation (like assigning every monster a TID) that I am not nearly skilled enough to attempt.

Oh boy... well, alright. Would it be possible to at least make a white beeping dot in the center of the larger tracker circle whenever an enemy is within a certain distance (it won't display multiple dots to show location, just one that flashes and beeps to signify something is close)?

Maybe if there was something like llSensor() in ZDoom.... But highly unlikely. You need ACS to pull off the effect you need and even then you likely need TIDs. In other words, it's doable in a custsom project but not as a universal mod.

Gotcha. Kinda sucks, but I have to admit -- the idea does sound pretty tedious and difficult to pull off.

Weasle i think the doom alpha weapons would fit into the alpha hud better because the doom weapons are a bit smaller than
the alpha weaps.

The problem is Blaz bumped the thread and didn't really contribute anything really meaningful to it.

He has a good point 9 out of 10 times blazkowiz is the one bumping the threads and sometimes its for the most useless shit like "When is it coming out" "This looks good"


Personally I don't like blazkowiz at all
