@Tormentor: After the deadline has passed, can you zip the monsters together (since, apparently, you're downloading them all anyway) and PM them to us judges? The weather, lately, has been playing merry hell with my sattelite internet, and I can't keep track of them, thus far.

Yeah, because they're too humanoidish to fit.
Those lizards should have more alienish sounds.
Ripping original Duke 3D lizard's sounds would be ok. :)

Actually, i used Q2 enforcer sounds because using the original lizard sounds, the monster would be too similar to the original Duke3D Lizard
Also, the Lizard is itself some kind of Humanoid Alien :P

The problem for me is that it is a very recognisable Duke enemy that is very identifiable with Duke - and not Doom. In addition, matching it up with some very recognisable sounds from another game that most of us have kind of compounds the problem. It may even have been better if you'd just ported the Duke monster to Zdoom instead (though not really suitable for an original monster contest). The DECORATE is fine though and would work on something with different sprites.

Well, any ideas for the sprites??

Unfortunately, that's the tricky part. I didn't say that I didn't understand why you did it, just that it is a problem in my opinion. If you're not a spriter, then there isn't an easy solution unless you manage a good recolour, find some unusual sprites somewhere or manage a bit of Frankenstein sprite editing.

I'd also suggest some patchwork of sprites or a very good recolor in this case. You have still almost one month left, just take your time, no need to hurry.

By the way Enjay, this is a good chance to finish your Plague Imp... yes, I still know about it :P

Dammit!

Not for the 20th of April anyway. It's pre-exam season and I just have mountains of work to get through. So, why am I wasting time on these forums... um... er...

[edit] I just looked at my WIP folder for it. It's actually slightly further along than I remember - but still not near enough for April 20th. [/edit]

Might as well start making one. I've lost all motivation for Bloodfeast and this would really get me back on track.

You must add a "CREDITS" lump into your WAD/PK3 file in the style of the Realm667.com Beastiary so it can be easily added later
