Something that i just edited up.

what you guys think?

Volt blaster

-takes small cell

-Fires 9 fast strong plasma bolts per cell,
-accurate
-Alt Fire shoots 3 Electric-Volts that homes on the player if close and electrocute it for 3 seconds or so
-And If alt hold, it can charge up for 1 strong lazor plasma-jolt, ripping anything and leaving static shocks in its path. (last for 5 seconds and goes away)

-over heats easily

The design is excellent, though the different parts look a tad too "thrown-together." Take some time to smooth the edges between the dark and light parts and you'll have a winner.

Though You may want to edit the hand-holding-clip graphic since it seems too large to actually fit in the pistol that way. Try cutting out the clip from the hand, rotating it 90 degrees to the right, then placing it back in the hand. As it is, it looks like the marine is trying to stick it in lengthwise -- oops. ;P

thanks man!

ya the edges need to be clean, but when i was "Done" and sick of editing it you like...w/e screw that...
Ya, Personally, I dont like the left side clip. one. I like it having a capsule battery size thingy, I couldn't find one that fit so I just hail mary'd a volt-clip one. This weapon, Raven and high voltage, and some gun picture that I have for inspiration...oh and mother Russia, that inspired me too, big time.

I kinda wanted to make a class of weapons, assassin like, just a character ego i imagined :? .
 I thing of make swords etc. like Chakan like and something matching with this pistol..

Thanks again

It's going to look really weird ingame. The angle is really off and will look like his arms are really far to his right shooting up.

I don't agree with the Scuba Steve...nothing weird in your weapon.
For the clip thingy, the pistol can be raised somehow and then the clip should be seen. :o

no... scuba steve is right. the weapon is way off. it will look like he is shooting to the side, you should really try getting it to face forward alot more.

Hmm, I guess you have a point -- at least the hand angle doesn't quite match up straight with the direction the gun barrel is facing.

But I'd just go the lazy route and edit the hand angle. ;P

*shrugs* -- somehow, far-side weapons really haven't bothered me that much. Strange to say.

How about this? i did a 10 min quicky... ( I probably need some shading touch ups, but for now lets get the shape right then shade and finish it  )

When i made started making this, I wanted to be like a magnum holding FYI, iono if that may help
Oh also, the white thing is where the plasma comes out :3

Looks like some sort of sci-fi banana, it might look a little off-centre aiming in game :?

The red dot is roughly where the vanishing point should be. This is a very rough edit to show how it would potentially look.

Use something like this to help you allign your weapons. Since Doom is a FPS, with the focus to the center of the screen, you should use a Single-Vanishing Point template to help allign your none-centered weapons (centered ones are easily done even without it).

Image

Keep in mind that all the parallel lines on your guns should all point and allign to the red dot. Single-VP is pretty easy to do. IT doesn't have to be excacty, since the sprite is too small to allign the thing perfectly. You can also use this to scale the size of your weapon, but that kind of complexity is usually uncessary.
