Phocas Island 2: Re-Phocased. Is it back?

Forum rules
The Projects forums are only for projects. If you are asking questions about a project, either find that project's thread, or start a thread in the General section instead.

Got a cool project idea but nothing else? Put it in the project ideas thread instead!

Projects for any Doom-based engine (especially 3DGE) are perfectly acceptable here too.

Please read the full rules for more details.

Should I release endurance mode as a seperate mod or save it for final release?

Yes! I'd love to play endurance mode when it's ready

But it's an exploration wad, so I feel it would detract from the experience to have something telling you how much you had discovered. It takes a lot of the mystery out of things.

EDIT: Xaser, check your pm's :P

Well, there currently is a status button you can use to see your health and weapon levels. I'd put it in with those stats if I did put it in before the end.

I'll probably leave it until the end.

Heh, thanks.

I noticed that you rarely update the thread for this on Doomworld. Any particular reason?

Priorities. What else? ;P

I've noticed that the DW community doesn't seem to care much for in-progress projects as much as these forums do. Heck, I almost always check the Projects forum first when I show up here. 'Tis good to know the ins-and-outs of the newest ZDoom stuffage.

Speaking of which, why isn't this in Projects yet? Chop, do you approve of a move? Phobus or Q will do it for ya if so.

Yeah, I hover on here between whatever else I do in a day, hoping for an update.

I was wondering about it not being in projects, too. After 9 pages, I think it qualifies. ;)

Well, I've taken the plunge, and seek to remake one of my favorite wads. Ever. Doomwars, for Doom Legacy. All it really consisted of was the ability to summon each of the Doom monsters, and have them fight the other player's summoned monsters in huge clashes. So, I have a Decorate Help thread, because this is the first time I've done something like this. I'm pacing myself well, at this point. But I'll need a lot of questions answered. XD

I haven't heard back from Kristus yet. I'm all done as far as story, journals, memories, etc. If you add any new puzzles or anything, I'd like to spell check and such like I have with the version you gave me, Chop.

You can send me the journals and memories. Have a note on were they should be used if I can't tell from the message.

I don't think I've added much text. Maybe three lines, and that's all.

Alright, there ya' go.

Only three lines? Alright. I have all the other Player Thoughts revised and written up ("The mushrooms react to the odd bug", etc.), so send me any more when they're done.

Did some simple stuff today, like adding lights, sparks, and sounds to bullets. I'm wondering if anyone has some good bullet ricochet sounds? I searched all of findsounds.com and found 2. One of them I kind of don't like. It would be nice to have 2 good ones, maybe 3.

edit: yeah, I updated the thread at Doomworld and it seems like nobody cares.

Found a few good ricochet sound effects, so I'm happy.

A shot of one of the new areas, but the camera used was busted so pictures turn out very blurry

I was joking about the camera :P I didn't want to spoil the new area too much. I posted the picture to keep people wondering.
