ZPortal2. A mod based from Valve's very first Portal trailer back in 2005(06?). If you haven't heard of portal yet I suggest you check it out, otherwise feel free to continue.

Create new map and texture on zportal2

As promised month ago, here is an expansion to the Portal Gun for ZDoom that I released
a while back. The wad contains a hub map with five levels (1 - 5 floor adventure), two new portal guns
and all new obstacles, texture, puzzles and challenges for you
to accomplish! It also has a vauge storyline which isn't worth worrying too much about.

How to play:
Use the portal gun to create two "portals". Step into a portal to come out of the other.
Use fire and alternate fire to fire the two different portals.
Make sure you have Fire, Alternative Fire and Inventory keys set up on your keyboard.
Mouselook and jumping are also mandatory.
Find new inventory items and portal guns to help you solve even tougher puzzles.

Warning:
This wad is ONLY compatible with GZDoom as it uses 3D floors, models and dynamic lights.


You WILL need this version of GZDoom. PERIOD!

Bug: Map01, Map02 and Map06
1. credit is blank on first episode credit start.
2. another closed door other room to room in platform room.
3. Texture invalid in this puzzle room.

err, i only see new textures and all the maps cutty made made into one + some new puzzle and bad english :P

and i dont see any credits to cutmanmike =(

The matter is that you wanted to make an addon for ZPortal, but you made it look like you're claiming you did ZPortal yourself.

Chris, I'll be cruelly honest. Can you please just put a bit more effort into typing? It's really kinda painful to deduce what you're saying when it seems so garbled up. I KNOW you use a different language all together, but please.

Sign language.

I'd recommand him to read a lot of dialogue-heavy novels. What he needs to do is learn the grammar of English; and since that's not something he could do growing up by listening to people speaking; it's something he has to do now by reading.

Correction: You didn't make it. Cutmanmike did.

For the description, you just basically copied part of Cutmanmike's ZPortal text document and pasted it... :roll:

The "+ some new puzzle" is what Chris did. Why he chose to release that as a modified version of Cutman's mod, I don't know. Since he's bad at English, he simply copied and pasted cutman's readme without changing it.

@Chris:

OK, I know this was done in ignorance, not because you're actually trying to rip off Cutty's work, so here's what I would suggest.

First, delete that entire description, as it was taken straight from Cutman's text file. Replace it with your own description. It doesn't have to be particularly creative or lengthy, just explain that you've made an add-on for Cutman's ZPortal. Make SURE you give him proper credit -- nobody likes to have their creations taken and used without permission and with no thanks given.

Second, if you're using any of Cutman's maps, get rid of those parts. Creating all new levels is great -- it allows us to see your own abilities and creativity and gives us something new to experience. Taking someone else's work and barely changing it only makes people think of you as a leech who can't map well enough and has to steal someone else's work.

I know from reading your posts in the ZPortal thread that you respect Cutman's work and don't want to look like you're trying to steal his thunder. Just remember the worst thing you can possibly do to a mod author in the Doom community is take their work and use it without giving credit. For something as derivative as this, the very first sentence shoud read something like this:

"This is a set of new levels made for CutmanMike's Portal Gun for ZDoom (aka "ZPortal")."
