Corvus to HeXen

Projects that have specifically been abandoned or considered "dead" get moved here, so people will quit bumping them. If your project has wound up here and it should not be, contact a moderator to have it moved back to the land of the living.

Too bad it's not possible to extract resources (textures, sprites, musics, maps, etc.) from Shadowcaster.

Doesn't Shadowcaster use a modified Wolf3D engine? I thought I read somewhere that it was some kind of id tech.

One of the engines Carmack made after Wolf3D but before Doom. So depending on who you ask, it's a variant Doom engine or a variant Wolf engine.

Shadowcaster was orthogonal, but with floor and ceiling textures, adjustable height, underwater stuff, traps, scripts and hubs. Plus a nice inventory/special attack system. Too bad the source code was never released. I'd love to play at a modern port of it.

If a download link's not in the thread, it's not finished.

And we're tired of people like you acting like we're your personal servants. Politeness is key, and you've broken just about every netiquette rule in the book here.
