Commander Keen 3D

Honestly, I think a Keen 3D should use an enhanced SM64 engine, or something like that. Third-person camera, 3Dness, AND stuff like extra lives a score (coins.) Still, I'd still like to play this if it's made.

A semi-realistic style was used in Heart of Darkness, which could as well have been a Keen game given the massive similarity between the main characters.

This game is awesome, I played demo long ago and it was The Game. Every sidescroling 2D game should look like this one. Worse is that I really dont know where to get full version... I think this style would fit Keen very well.

Which one is more Keen?

Kinda fallacious to compare a grimy gory version with a vectorized zoom of the original sprite. "Realistic" doesn't mean "zombie-like."

The point I was trying to make was the more realistic you go the more it'll be like Doom than Keen. Keen != realistic. And I don't want a 3D Keen to stray too far from the original source material too much. If this were made I'd want Tom Hall to download it, play it for ten minutes, and say "This is what I've wanted to make for over ten years. And these guys did it." with a big smile on his face.
