How Do i make a hole in my wall?

Hello, i made this Awesome Castle right. and when i deleted the site of the wall that i wanted the people to go threw it went hell glitchey. it was all black. now i want a path to like go threw the wall or something like that a way that they can get in. does any one know how i can do this?

PLUS! How do i make a window i read the toturial that came with doom builder but it still glitches for me. like the window isnt even in the wall its on the celling for god sake.

Another ps. i made a guard tower but it has no roof. and it looks all bodgey. so how do i make a roof 2? thanks!!!!!!

Depends what you mean for a hole in a wall. A simple decoration or a path?

Just a path. and i made a house to. but i couldnt make any think in it. man how do you make like houses and junk. do you have MSN cause im sick of like coming on here and wasting space lol.

I'd suggest that you start by examining some simple maps like doom2 map01 for example. Look at how the openings, doors, windows are made. Pay attention to the sector floor and ceiling heights and where textures are put (lower, main, upper sidedefs). Then apply what you've observed to your own map.

First of all, are you making your walls correctly? I've seen new mappers use sectors to make walls (puting the floor u pt the ceiling or vise versa). Walls in Doom are just voids; areas between sectors with nothing in it. To make a hole, just add a sector connecting the two rooms that this "hole" is supposed to go to.

It's attached to the ceiling because your texture is smaller than the height between the floor and the ceiling. To put it on the floor, either do it manually with the offsets on both sides, or set the texture flag of "Lower wall Unpegged". Also, you may have not closed the sector correctly. Upload the map so one of us can check it.

i cant upload it. it doent even let me put the window in. the walls keep dissapering
