There have been hundreds in the past. Spork has done a few, and a lot of maps are 'inspired by ExMy or MAP##' The thing is though, that each one is different, so there's no problem afaic.

There's also several remakes of custom made maps (I've done one for three of my own released maps)

There's also Doom Reborn, and ZarkyB was working on a Doom 2 remake. I haven't heard anything of either of them in quite a while though, so they may well both be dead.

I think the mapping is fine as it is. Sod the detail, make a fun map! :P
Exactly. I prefer gameplay over Detail, others vice-versa.

At any rate, since Kaiser's post is itself full of fail and complaints, perhaps he ought to spend some time considering his own comment that "someone isn't happy until they got something to complain about" (sic). (Especially considering TCIF 3 appears to be one ginormous thinly-veiled bitch-fest about trends, events, and people he doesn't like.)
I enjoy reading your posts, so please continue to let me know how much of a cunt that I am, it entertains me.

Can we please take this to PM's? I would hate for this thread to be locked.

Can we please stick to the topic at hand? Arguments are best left to PMs and AOL chatrooms.

Good news! I got in contact with Neurological (you know him, I hope) and hes making new music for DooM and I get to grab the first copy! He also is going to loop the songs for me. Two new files for Knee-Deep in Ultimate DooM:

KDiUD-mus.wad
KDiUD-mus-cdoom.wad

The first one is the new music, and the latter is Classic DooM 3 (Which I got permission for). I hope ya are happy to hear this.

Updated first post for new info.

KDIZD's site was just recently posted on Doomworld. I suspect there's confusion over the name.
