MY grammar is fine. I can't always say the same for some other people. I don't write the majority of the reviews and I only correct glaring errors, not stupid little shit that doesn't really mean anything.

Answer to T-1:
1) a picture
2) improve your own grammar
3) Valid comments, please.

You're OUT OF TOPIC, and you are like insulting the author of this thread: he asked to stay IN topic, but you are ignoring his friendly volunty. Shame on you!

Ixnatifual, I am sorry.
I answer now, because I think that a friendly behaviour is better than a battle against the wind...
I resume: my review is my comments made level after level, and what I felt at the time I was playing, until the last level, which is THE best wad that I have ever played since Doom is existing. And I wrote that you are a pure genius. Your levels are insanely hard, but they are geniusly done.
I was upset by the difficulty, but I battled hardly and I won finally. My hard disk drive contains tons of insanity that I never bothered to play until the end. But I played yours until the end...
Capito?

Peace!
You are a great author, even if it was your very first released work, and I am impressed by your skill. It seems to me that you understood everything about Doom and that you pushed the gameplay at its very latest extremity.
You have to understand that you made a pwad for the best of the players and surely not for the normal players.
P.S. : I NEVER used drugs, thank you! ;)

Doomworld.

It doesn't "exist" because you put it in your hosts file i bet

Their reviewers also don't whine on other forums because someone disagrees with a review, showing an attitude more mature than these "30+" year olds that are raising drama right now because they can't stand one cent of criticism, no matter what it is good or bad, because it crushes their quest for ego to a quest of defending-self-on-the-internet-to-be-holio-than-you-cos-im-an-ethug and resorting to childish name calling.

I don't care what people think of a review - it's only opinion after all.
I DO care that people badmouth my website for no good reason. THAT upsets me. Hard not to get upset when someone trashes something wantonly that you've put your heart and soul into.

Honestly, why do some people get so upset over crap posted on the internet?
So some guy, who most likely lives hundreds of miles away from you, thinks your website is shit. So what? Is your life going down the drain now because he voiced his opinion? No, it's not. Whining about it only makes you look pathetic, and most people won't take you seriously.

Also, saying your website is the only good review site on the internet seems rather arrogant to me. I wouldn't go around saying I'm the only good mapper around, and everybody else sucks. That would just make me sound like some arrogant dickhead. There are other sites that review wads, like Doomworld as others have mentioned, so by saying your site is the only good one, your saying all the rest of them are crap.

Doomworld does short reviews but they are not a review site. There are no others. Look around. Be my guest. Every single one that ever began stopped, except for mine. Why? Because it's a shitload of work and most of the maps that are made are absolute garbage so you have to wade through a dozen pieces of shit before you get to the one that's worthy of a review. People criticize me because I rarely post bad reviews. There's a reason for that - I don't review bad maps - plain and simple. If it sucks it can stay on the archives in anonymity where it belongs.
So have a good look around. There are NO other review sites on the internet. So I'm not saying I have the BEST review site. I'm saying I have the ONLY review site. A half paragraph synopsis is not a review - that is what Doomworld does. I post screenpics, downloads, review and if available - storylines from the authors. THAT is a review.

Is my life over because some loser thinks my site is shit? Hardly. I'm too busy to worry about what he thinks. I can defend my site though - and I do.

Did you know that there are NO review sites for Doom3? Or Quake 4? RTCW? None - nada. There is now. I've begun adding reviews for maps for those games to DWS. Why? Because there is a glaring hole in the mapping community. I work hard to bring something to the community that no one else does and I don't think it's too much to ask someone who trashes it by calling it shit to defend his accusation with an actual response that quantifies WHY he believes it is shit. If he has something constructive to give me then perhaps it can be improved. Or, perhaps I'll ignore him, but that's up to me.
Do YOU think it's too much to ask for someone to back up their bullshit?

Sematary... Grubber is a professional programmer and he does web design on a professional level, too.

I really think you should have taken his advice and not defend your work so zealously as HotWax put it.

EDIT: Jive... if you "acquired permissions from the map authors", why is Ixnatifual surprised you changed the skies, surprised that the filesize increased by two megs, etc?

Also...

I'm sure he's excellent at it as well. Personally, I would LOVE to have a professional web designer go in and redo the entire site from top to bottom but that costs big bucks so it isn't likely to happen. Even if I had the skills, which I don't, I also don't have the time. It's unfortunate, but true. And honestly, the site design I have now is not bad. Not perfect by any stretch but it flows and is relatively easy to get around in.
