You should call that 2 or something, so we can differentiate. We'll call this one 2beta and the next one (with an exit) will be portaltest2.wad (or whatever you want).Cutmanmike wrote:Map extended but not much:

EDIT: Ok, I'm [censored word]. So this post has been edited to hell.
Here's what I said before:
Spoiler:But, as samurai and Kblair were nice enough to point out, I'm [censored word] and this is probably the intended behavior.
Coming up with ideas is hard, but I like what you've added. Some random ideas: Maybe smaller holes you have to crouch to get through when you portal? Or maybe puzzles that actually require you to fall off (i.e. teleport) to get them done. Like when you need to leave one of your portals where it is, but you need to get back somewhere, so you have to push a button, then fall off, push another button, THEN port (if that makes any sense at all).Cutmanmike wrote:Coming up with ideas is hard. No exit there yet either.
Anyway, I think the map's great (and the concept is wonderful!). Plus, if it gets much harder, you'll probably turn off some of your audience. So don't do that.
Another stupid paragraph:

That's my job, right?!? Maybe Hotwax will join in the abuse.Cutmanmike wrote:Edit: Grrr sticky why do you abuse my maps so?!
Btw, you can jump the first lava bit if you really try.
I know about the jump, but I don't make it every time, so it's not worth the chance. Plus, a well shot portal seems to be just as fast anyway, or at least almost as fast. Plus, it's what the author intended. Just like how before there was a wall there, the author intended for me to bypass that whole part of his level...right?

Actually, I think this is intended behavior. The puzzles with the red screens are entirely possible to do as is.Sticky wrote:Anyway, at least on my machine, all of the red screens are not impassible, so you can just run/jump right through them. However, you can't shoot through them, which breaks the whole last part of your level.
