GUILTY

Seriously a virus affecting games? The only way that would be possible is if it messed with your graphics card somehow. Which is still veeeeery unlikely.

IIRC, Doomsday doesn't use the COLORMAP lump to calculate light levels.

Someone dump a normal COLORMAP for him to replace.

If the problem is with the game IWAD, i.e. doom2.wad, it will affect every PWAD you use with it (that is, unless the PWAD has its own COLORMAP).

Try testing it with a different software port, such as Boom, Eternity, or even the original .exe.

The 90% rule in diagnostics: if you're pretty sure what the problem is, and the fix is non-destructive, try the fix before attempting to diagnose it further. You might just be wasting time.

Edit: I've uploaded my PlayPal and ColorMap from my known good Doom2.wad. REplace these entries in your Doom2.wad and see if that fixes the problem.

Thank you very much! that helped me.
I didn't know that a modified colormap could effect the sector's light.

(I always learn something new.:D)
NO, IT'S NOT WAREZ!! I remember now, i think I modified the colormap, to see if high res textures work, if i change the colormap. It was very high res. And maybe I opened doom2.wad instead of my project or whatever lol.

My guess is he got an IWAD that was hacked to make DM easy by eliminating shadows.
I think his last message was a positive confirmation.

Sounds plausible. Anyway, the IWAD can't be legal so I consider this a warez problem. Case closed I'd say.
