Yes. E-Mail will be replaced by a liquid crystal database, that instead of text messages, records video-messages. In fact, they don't even have to be single messages. There could instead be a direct video connection, like on Star Trek.
Anyway. The idea is pretty unique. However, a lot of people seem to loathe uniqueness, so don't listen to me.

Derrick, you wanted opinions on your new project Project X. I read your web site and came to strong belief which I expressed. Ask yourself how much time you spent cursing me instead of working on the project. I don't understand how this kind of post can make upset a team leader. What if I was on your team and told you that your design was poor? Would you consider it flaming? Were you awaiting positive reactions only?
zajo i did ask for opinions, i didnt ask for you to come on here and bad mouth me like u know me which is what u did and frankly i dont need it. feel free to say what u want about my project but dont bash me like im some type of evil corrupt guy posing to be a team leader or some kind of n00b, ive been around the game a long time and i know what it takes to make a project work, just because i have time to come on here doesnt mean im not constantly working on it. and as for people on my team, i dont hire people for a project if they are against any part of it. either they like it or they dont and i let them know from the beginning if they arent into it 100% then they arent working on it. theres plenty of other stuff available for them to do. so in the meantime zajo, if ure gonna bad mouth me or my team, pm us and do so, if ure gonna bad mouth a project which youre not involed with then good luck, the game will out last you im sure.
Now there, however, is a flaw. Do I agree this is a tad bit ambitious? Yes, but I don't mean to be hypocritical about it either or bash that fact seeing as I can occasionally be overambitious myself.DaLLeN wrote:and as for people on my team, i dont hire people for a project if they are against any part of it. either they like it or they dont and i let them know from the beginning if they arent into it 100% then they arent working on it. theres plenty of other stuff available for them to do.
But like I said: that bit of text shows a problem. You can never, EVER expect everyone on a team to agree 100%. Do you think this is how the movie or gaming industry works? Not at all, I'm positive. After all, why do you think so many changes are made during the production of games? Because someone either disagreed with something and/or though of something they thought was better and told their boss about it, who went "Hm... actually, that's not a bad idea!"
And that's also why you're going to have multiple "idea people" on a team or in a company, because you can't expect everyone to agree on the same thing 100% at first. And even if you've finally spent six months or so finalizing ideas and one or two people still don't entirely agree, that doesn't mean they're going to gripe and complain about it. Chances are they'll still work on it fine and go through with it until the finished product is satisfying anyway.
I guarantee you, right here and now, that you will, NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER find a team of people who will agree 100% with every single detail. But you have to respond kindly to some criticism. If someone doesn't agree, ask for some constructive criticism from them (if they haven't already given it) and then take into consideration their points. Otherwise you're going to have several people lost during the production. Because the only way otherwise to have everyone else agree with you is to become a Neo Hitler. Which is most undesirable.
As for people "flaming" you as a person. From what I can tell, while some of it may not be in the quote/unquote kindest manner, all they've said is that you are being a bit too ambitious and don't yet have anything to show for your work. Which, by the way, play deep roles as to whether or not you will get recruits for your team.
Just four more haypennies.
i dont think its very ambitious when it comes to mod making for a game that came out in the 90's when there are plenty of other modern games to work with.. in my flaw that u mentioned sorry i missed sayng that there are plenty of other projects going on at the same time that team members can work on. i didnt intend for it to mean they can go work for some other mod team.furthermore i already have my team for the project assembled and theyre perfectly happy with everything going on, they even add ideas to it all that work out fine. And as for having anything to show for my work,i dont intend on recruiting people through showcasing the game to every other doom "modder" i dont send out early betas, im against unfinished work.and about the "flaming" it wasnt it about it not being in the "kindest manner" its about speaking to someone with some common courtesy about explaining your opinion, not very wise for people to comment on having work to show when they arent working on anything themselves or have anything out at all for that matter.
