I just started with this new map and the ideas behind it... it is very possible that the Sapphire Series is the follow up series to my TNT which last episode and compilation is still and progress and known as "The Ultimate TNT". Stay tuned!

Definitely more of a Sci-fi/tech theme to this as opposed to your normal rocky/cavern/hell/mountain type scenery (of course referring to TNT :p). Looks awesome.

But seriously, how many maps can you keep up at once? I mean, TNT 3 and 4, KDiZD, Netherworld, Stronghold, Tower of Suffering, probably another one I've forgotten, and now this? WHEN WILL IT END, MAN?!

I also find it interesting how easily you tend to make such obvious spelling mistakes when editing a screenshot but type fine most of the time on the forum, where it's much less noticeable. :p

Looks very nice. Despite the name of the texture wad, it looks pretty colourful. I personally like the techy/sci-fi style more than the hellish stuff.

[edit] Hang on, aren't saphir(e)'s blue? The logo should change colour or the project be renamed "Emerald". :joker: [/edit]

If you look into the texture wad it's very readily apparant why he called it too much brown, believe me :)

However, there are a lot of other colours in it too, and it's got a very good focus on sci-fi, though if he wants to show it to it's fullest extent, I'd expect a bit of medieval thrown in somehow, and a good mayan area (Quake style).

Then again, he may just be going totally tech-base. :P

Looks very nice, all the same.

So pretty! Those lights just spice up that room a bit, the sky looks pretty cool as well :D

@Enjay - Or Smaragd ;) The name refers to the planet and company, not to the green colors ;)

@Phobus - By now, just tech base, some if it cleaner, other a bit more rusty and destroyed. It's a research facility, something like Vrack considering the style ;)

Concerning my thousand projects:
KDiZD is still under developement but for my part, I haven't do to anything with that right now, so no work here!
Netherworld is paused!
Stronghold is under developement and I am working on my maps as well as the team leader over at DRDTeam.org, and thx to the fact that I have a team, I don't have to focus on that that much!
The Ultimate Torment & Torture is still under developement, but I have a certain mappers block right now while spicing up TNT3 and beyond, I can't release UTNT before KDiZD isn't finished (has something to do with the resources I don't want to spoil)
The Tower Of Suffering is currently in Eriance's hands, as I have also a mappers block (seems like it has something to do with medieval/hell style stuffage). Eriance is adding an area and also adjusting gameplay stuffage and I will continue on that as soon as he passes the map back to me!
Sapphire at the end is the only thing I am working right now ;)

It's quite hard to come up with new ideas for rooms and structures if you are always working with the same resources. I am so damn sick already of E1 textures because ofKDiZD, it is almost impossible for me to create a single E1 styled room that I am pleased with. Same goes to TUTNT and TOS because the resources are almost the same (as for TNT3/4 and TOS), medieval brick stuff. When I work on a map, I don't want to do lots of Copy n Paste, I want each room to look unique and special, so players always see something new. But as I said, it's hard for me to do this right now with UTNT and TOS, that's why I started Sapphire

That is nice...really nice. I'll add this to my secret list of wads that I am awaiting. Hope to see this thrive and continue after KDIZD and UTNT!!
