Item Respawn Time

Post by MrBlowtatoes »

[ever thought og haveign a support forum?]

Is there a way to set how fast items/monsters respawn when you enable them through gameplay options?

And Also, is there ever going to be support to use zdoom completely with a joystick? [menus for example, require a keyboard, and also dialouge in strife requires a keyboard]

edit: Also, is it possiable to get the 'auto-use-potion' feature on difficulty 0, to be used on other difficulties?

It's called the editing forum.

As for everything else, no idea.

I think that the item respawn time is hard-coded and might be 30 seconds for weapons, ammo, health and armor. I can't remember if the bigger powerups like soul sphere or megasphere have a longer wait, maybe a minute.

You could certainly customize a map to your liking by encorporating some scripts to spawn items at any time interval you like. I used to respawn exploding barrels that way.

hrm, i suppose if i posted the idea in the feature request forum, someone might look at it, becasue i can anme several certain other doom ports that have the ability to set a time limit on respawning stuff

and i think it would be a good idea to have it

Don't beg for help. And they're too busy to help you.
