Screen border flash

Post by Curunir »

Probably since the first time I used 50.cab (or even earlier) :? I've had this small bug. The screen flashes something that looks like a window border around its edges for about 1/4 of a second probably every 15 or so minutes. Might be just my box's fault.
I'm running WinXP Prof., 1.2Ghz, 256DDR. Zdoom runs in fullscreen, 640x480.

It's done that to me for quite a while, and seems more prone to happening when things are going on in the background, like an IM alert and stuff. It's probably a DirectX problem..

I will try taking away the window border in fullscreen mode. Maybe that will help you.

The only "border" I get is the default application border. That is, when I start zdoom, Windows switches to 640x400x256 fullscreen and I get a color-inverted "[icon] ZDoom (Nov XX 2003) [_] [O] [X]" bar, but which disappears after DirectX begins drawing something.

Since nobody has reported any bugs related to my turning off the window border in fullscreen mode for 2.0.57, I assume this is fixed.

This bug was about the window border being drawn, not whatever you're seeing.

Yup, I got this but it didn't effect the performance, so I ignored it :-D. But it appears to be fixed now, just tested it :-).
