doesn't surprise me if they are "assisted" with AI in some way, Torm's been an AI supporter for a while now given his insistence in previous posts in other topics. Frankly between that and my understanding now of the previous controversies, it's why I haven't bothered with this TC.

AFD gag or not, it doesn't give good optics.

Haters gonna hate (and not look at the date), what can I say.SanyaWaffles wrote: ↑Fri May 15, 2026 11:21 am doesn't surprise me if they are "assisted" with AI in some way, Torm's been an AI supporter for a while now given his insistence in previous posts in other topics. April fools can fool people and there is obviously no shame to that (I myself was fooled many times on April 1st), but the fact that you even found that believable tells alot about your presuppositions. And all this while BoA development is fully transparent on GitHub.
I'd suggest to focus less of confirmation bias and just give the world a chance to pleasantly surprise you
About previous "controversies" - what can anyone "learn" from that about BoA and/or Torm in a negative way?
I learned nothing new or bad about him.
I'm not here to defend any particular thing censored, some I can understand more, some less. But I fully respect a decision of a game/mod maker to censor his creation in any way and form he prefers - to feel okay and safe with released creation and avoiding needless controversy.
Many games are censored in some way, and while if it would be for me to decide I'm not sure I would censor same selection of stuff or same amount of stuff and/or for same reasons, and I'm against censorship in games as I consider those an artform
- I do know what experiences a maker of a game that has themes that are seen by some as controversial. Even if the "outrage" has no actual basis and is intentionally unproportionally overblown - I do respect taking whatever actions needed to make the game feel "safe" enough to release, even subjectively. And not risking to go over some German law.
It's better than me totally cancelling or reskinning a mod.
We are here for making games, we should not fight agendas and battles we don't want and did not intend to fight.
Because in a dirt fight - everyone comes out full of dirt.
We can choose our fights, and those who want us to take hits for their "values" (to enjoy content others take backlash for) - can "hire" paid "mercenaries" for their cause.

Must be a challenge for you to simply say “Oh yes, I missed the date and therefore the purpose of the post.”
Either way I do not care. DoomJedi made a perfect point (thanks for stepping in by the way) with what he said. I don’t intend to please everyone but share what I am doing for those who like it. And for the rest of them - welcome to my ever growing list of people I ignore because they are of no benefit to my life.

Now, now. I think there can be some nuance here. I'm sure it's just there for the hahahihis, but if the pictures themselves were done with AI, I feel like it would hurt the point. It's kinda like a game joking about how bad sewer levels are, and then doing one themselves immediately unironically, y'know?

I just came here to say what a great piece of love this mod "Blade of Agony" has been. It has been a superb experience, specially considereing that it is running on the GZDoom engine. It was fun, frantic, thriller-filled gameplay. Thanks for creating this piece of art.

So instead of posting a progress update on 3.2 which was "closing in" on August 2024 they post a lame april fools joke.phantombeta wrote: ↑Fri May 15, 2026 11:54 am You might wanna check the date for that post in the news page.
Also, it's a pretty obvious jab at the shitty AI "enhancement" DLSS5 does that everyone hated.

Just wait for 2027. I have an even worse April fools joke already prepared.
