Abysm X: Dance of Blood - Action RPG TC - Release 1.0 is HERE - ITS FINALLY DONE

Abysm X: Dance of Blood is an action adventure GZDoom Total Conversion for Doom 2 inspired by games such as Diablo, Dark Souls and Strife. Explore three other worldly dimensions on the quest to slay the Maniacal Vampire Lord Malachi, slaughtering demons along the way with various medieval weapons and Spells.

Before Playing be sure you have atleast GZDoom V.4.14.3 and to Read the User Manual.
Also I recommend to not load this alongside other mods so that things don't break unexpectedly.

The Story:
For Decades, the Small Kingdom of Dorian has been terrorized by a ruthless Vampire lord Malachi and his minions from hell, kidnapping and feasting upon its citizens. One such victim was the King's Firstborn, who was taken from his own Castle in the dead of night.
Thus, the King put forth a bounty to anyone who can slay the Vampire Lord and avenge his son. Many have entered Castle Malachi to claim the king's reward, but none have returned.

Margaret sets forth on her quest to slay the Vampire lord and rid the world of his evil.

Will you be the one to claim the King's Bounty and survive Malachi's Dance of Blood?

The game is great so far. The only "Issues", and I use the word lightly, are the non capitalizations of the intro text, items, and some of the map names. Other than that, I'm super grateful you came out with another banger in the series.

I'm genuinely surprised that there aren't more comments on this one. The game is a piece of class. It looks stunning, it plays well, it's innovative. It's a really good game.

Right? I thought the comments were locked or something.

Hello, I know its been a month without any big updates so apologies for the inactivity, but expecting to have a Release Candidate by mid March.
Right now im just back porting some improvements from Abysm 2 1.4 to Abysm X (back porting to the sequel? its complicated but trust me it makes sense) mostly with the UI and weapon code. expect more news soon-ish

Please continue sending your feedback and suggestions 'cuz they will be addressed in RC1

I started several times to play this map set, loaded it into a map editor etc, but no matter what I did to increase the brightness, it just is too dark

which dampened my enthusiasm drastically.

for this map in particular, there is an invisible 3d floor above the entire level to destroy/remove any projectiles. though its flagged to not have any lighting effects below, that may the culprit.
It doesn't look this dark on my end or the testers, it can also be lighting options with G/UZdoom

Just finished the mod, 4.5h play time. Absolutely brilliant overall, on par with Abysm 2 but feels very different (Demon's Souls inspired this time, whew!)
Really the only complaint was the very end:
