Baddie Transparency in Heretic?
While playing Heretic in UZDoom I notice that the when I'm invisible my weapons appear transparent as they do in 'standard' Heretic but the transparent baddies don't seem to display that way. Looking through the settings there seems to be fuzz, noise and shadow transparency options for the baddies but no coloured transparency. Am I missing some setting somewhere?

IIRC these settings are for Doom, not for Heretic.Bob Beaky wrote: Tue Apr 28, 2026 3:10 pmLooking through the settings there seems to be fuzz, noise and shadow transparency options for the baddies but no coloured transparency.
Can you show a screenshot?...but the transparent baddies don't seem to display that way.

The "transparent baddies" are certainly showing as translucent for me. If I type "summon mummyghost" at the console in Heretic, sure enough a translucent mummy appears.

Re: Baddie Transparency in Heretic?
I tried to post a couple of screenies but I kept getting told the images are too large regardless of size or quality. I'm sure it's user error.
The baddies ARE transparent for me too but they are transparent gray silhouettes with no colour. In vanilla Heretic the baddies are transparent but they are colour transparencies with definition in the detail of the sprites (they look like the normal sprites but with an alpha value. The weapons in UZD/GZD when using the shadowsphere are coloured just like vanilla Heretic.
