So I recently started GZDoom modding, and have been attempting to create a map with more high-res, realistic looking textures. I wanted to implement some metallic materials, and so I created a test called "shinymetal", but it does not work in the way I want it to. It has no shine and looks like dull rubber, despite me having added the materials to a GLDefs text file with appropriate file structures (or so I believe, I am new but I have done a lot of research on this topic this last week). The image files themselves are in .PNG format, and are held within corresponding folders, such as metallic, ao, normal, etc. A few examples of GLDefs files I have seen are written in different ways, such as the ones on the ZDoom wiki and some examples from .pk3 files I have looked at. I have attempted to imitate a few of them with this material, but so far it has not worked.
I am using the latest GZDoom version, 4.14.2, and while I cannot give the exact specs of my PC I do not feel this is relevant, as I can run other WADs with PBR textures just fine. My GZDoom is also using OpenGl.
Link to a test pk3 if anyone wants to take a look: https://www.mediafire.com/file/im01df4t ... e.pk3/file
PBR textures are not working properly.

Contrary to popular belief, we are not all-knowing-all-seeing magical beings!
If you want help you're going to have to provide lots of info. Like what is your hardware, what is your operating system, what version of GZDoom/LZDoom/whatever you're using, what mods you're loading, how you're loading it, what you've already tried for fixing the problem, and anything else that is even remotely relevant to the problem.
We can't magically figure out what it is if you're going to be vague, and if we feel like you're just wasting our time with guessing games we will act like that's what you're really doing and won't help you.

Re: PBR textures are not working properly.
Unless someone has an inspired "aha! I know what this is" moment, you'll need to provide more information on exactly how you have set things up. e.g. posting your GLDEFS would be a start.
If you could put together a small test file and upload it to a file host so that people could check it, that would be ideal.
[edit]Thanks for the upload. I don't see anything obviously wrong, but I'm not that familiar with PBR textures. With any luck, someone will come along and be able to shed more light on the problem.[/edit]
