Is it intentional that enemies keep their coloration effect upon being resurrected?
I had thrown a lob of plasma at enemies in some mapset while getting plasma early in, only to see the burnt enemies get back up from an Archvile in a mat and trying to go at me with their totally fine burnt-shaded bodies.

Re: AccuDeathV3.0: A Doom/Heretic/Hexen Death Effects Mod [V3.0 Released!]
When I first saw it during development no, but I really liked the idea of recently charred victims being resurrected and coming back for you. So long as it doesn’t cause unintentional behavior I figured it would be worth keeping.Starman the Blaziken wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2024 9:50 pm Is it intentional that enemies keep their coloration effect upon being resurrected?

A couple of monsters I lured into getting crushed by a crusher, I noticed they have the burn effect when they die. Not sure if this is a bug with the mod, or something else I'm using.

I caught this bug not too long ago and already have a fix for the eventual next version. Nothing major but still some tweaks that I’d like to try and implement.mamaluigisbagel wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2024 7:32 am A couple of monsters I lured into getting crushed by a crusher, I noticed they have the burn effect when they die. Re: AccuDeathV3.1 Update!
AccuDeath has been updated to version 3.1! After a much longer than anticipated wait I have finally gotten around to releasing this small update.
-A new menu option for AccuDeath has been added to allow for some customization of the damage type for Doom barrels and Cacoballs. A check for custom death states is now implemented and can also be enabled/disabled from here.
-More added support for popular custom weapon and monster packs
-Minor bug fixes. (No more crispy crushed corpses!)
At this point the mod is in a state that I'm very much happy with. I've gone back and forth over certain features I've thought about adding but ultimately I'm satisfied with where it's at. I'll most likely continue adding mod support down the road and small updates here and there to improve when needed.

Re: -UPDATE- AccuDeathV3.2: A Doom/Heretic/Hexen Mod Friendly Accurate Death Effects Mod
Some major developments have allowed for a new AccuDeath update to version 3.2!
There are several new features including a couple that make this a big update moving forward:
-Dynamic Lights!
Deaths now emit color matched dynamic lights for improved realism which can be enabled or disabled in AccuDeath options.
-Code Overhaul
AccuDeath's code has gone through a massive restructuring which has allowed for easy implementation of new damage types and floors to include for support by both author and users.
-DeHackEd Detection
It is now possible for AccuDeath to detect a loaded DeHackEd lump and add support for new weapons and projectiles. As of now, Legacy of Rust and a few other DeHackEd lumps are currently supported with more to be added in future updates.
-Improved Death Effects
Slight tweaks to effects color and pixels create improved effects results.
-Bug Fixes
Fixed VM abort crashes in DoomRL Arsenal and BrutalDoom (special thanks to Starman the Blaziken)
With the major change in code and the ability to read DeHackEd lumps I am hoping AccuDeath can continue to add support for more classic and modern WADs as well as allow users to add support for their own favorite mods with ease. Be sure to try AccuDeath with your favorite mods and report any bugs you may find!
