I found a website that shared a cracked version of Borrowhelen.

It's really sad. Was I making a game for scammers without gaining any profit? Some people have argued about the price of Borrowhelen, but once you play it, you might understand its value.

Cracking is everywhere. Not everyone is born rich.

It's just sad.

A briliant comment I've got on YouTube.

20 dollars for a commercial Doom mod that looks considerably worse than many full-game sized free total conversions and features uniform flat sector lighting across every map? Sign me up, hon!
If they "believe" that meaningless visual effects and high-contrast visuals messing with your eyes are the key elements of a great game, then what have I been learning as an artist for over 10 years?

Most modders (even commercial ones) don't care about wall lighting and sector lighting as essential parts of "level design" (visually nice though). They just place vividly colored lights randomly and call it done. Awesome. It's so much easier than calculating the sun's position and manually adjusting wall lights to increase/decrease brightness accordingly.

It's another sad reality that people can't recognize quality anymore. If you skip buying alcohol or tobacco a few times, you'd have enough money to get something better than those, even if it's not my game.

P.S. I hope this guy hasn't been abused by his parents and/or classmates ever.

I just want to say something before I leave this beautiful community, a place where people once accepted the existence of Marisa the Predator.

There are tons of Doom mods, especially weapon mods, and this is lazy graphic design.

Maps also look raw. And $15?!! Come on... free stuff is much better.
Lagi (memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=25875), if you wanted to complain about my game, why didn’t you do it here? I know you’ve registered on this forum. You’re such a coward. I’m probably not the only person you’ve bullied. If you think this is just an "opinion," why did you avoid posting it here?

And I know what you guys will do next—say blah blah something in the Discord channel. Am I right?

Even if you’ve got the cracked version, you cannot understand the story or the historical/scientific things in the levels, so you would say it’s rubbish, even though you got it for free. I’m not saying the reason is your English level. I mean your morals, perception, and knowledge are the reasons.

Let me explain, starting with “for example,” because this might work for people here. Einstein wrote a paper about general relativity, and “as you know,” it changed the entire understanding of science, including physics. It’s a gem, but you’d claim this paper is just a piece of paper and say let it burn. Why? Because you have no knowledge to understand what he wrote. That’s absolutely your problem. If you have no knowledge but good morals, at least you wouldn’t burn it, even if you have no idea what it means.

I’m sorry if you cannot understand what I mean, but it’s your problem. There are many free online courses and videos where you can learn anything. It’s “free,” of course. I think studying is absolutely better than being sarcastic and feeling like you’re smarter than me. By the way, I’m sorry if you’re a doctor, lawyer, or professor.

And if the moderators don’t do something, either in a good or bad way, they haven’t changed since Marisa’s incident. Their action is just waiting until the storm passes.

Ignoring the other stuff for a moment, I have to address this:

You're wanting them to take action on something that is beyond the scope of the forums, and comparing what happened back then to some bad grapes is frankly disgusting and feels in bad faith.

As for people complaining about your game: as much as I find these comments of theirs in bad faith, you gotta pick and choose your battles. This feels a bit over the top theatrics to some bad faith actors. I've had people say outright slander about me under the guise of making "critique" of my project, and I've come to learn it just fuels their desire. It's best to not engage.

It's not everyday I see someone leave the forum for ... something that didn't even happen on the forum.

Best luck in your future endeavors I guess.
