Propose a tactical doom mod
As the title implies, I am interested in a different doom experience and gameplay. Could you please propose mods that implement this please?I prefer asymmetric warfare tactics such as setting traps, remote-controlled weapons, and drones; you get the point, I guess. Thank you

Re: Propose a tactical doom mod
Pretty sure this is the wrong place for this question as its for released gameplay mods. , but Hideous Destructor does actually fit all the criteria you've laid out.
Setting Traps: IED's and Grenade Tripwires,
Remote Controled weapons/ Drones: D.E.RP.'s (a pistol on treads) H.E.RP's (turret , both can be remote controlled.)
And various other tactics such as breaking through a door with a chainsaw/doorbuster/kicking it down,Shooting through walls, triggering switches with a D.E.R.P
you could even get more options via community mods with different grenade types, other melee weapons (which can break down doors or walls if you're persistent enough), other types of equipment. Basically its all there. Its a bit hard to learn starting out, however. You can also choose what to bring with you and what you spawn with.
Other mods that have elements are Feet on The Ground and SoldierZ, which includes claymores and C4, and Scavvers Paradise, which includes various inventory items that can be used as traps or as defenses, but no remote control drones or anything.

Re: Propose a tactical doom mod
I'd definitely highly recommend Hideous Destructor. You've got frag grenade tripwires, IEDs, autonomous turrets and pistol drones that can be used remotely. It's significantly realism focused, being very much a hardline, realistic tactical "milsim" experience similar to games like Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six etc.
It has a more realistic health system that focuses on being more like a realistic medical system where you're a much more frail human being that can die in one burst from a rifle including bleeding, blood loss, burn injuries and very manual healing.
Proper ballistics system that simulates muzzle velocity, bullet drop, penetration
Slow, weighty purposeful movement.
It's very difficult and unforgiving for new players, and even getting through one map alive is a test of skill.

Re: Propose a tactical doom mod
Moved topic. The Projects forum and its subforums is for posting new mods, not asking where to find an interesting one.
