I'm not really sure how to respond to messages about a version that's been out of date for nearly 8 months at this point. So I won't.
Anyway, here's a video showcasing and explaining some of the stuff coming in 0.0.8. If you can stand my awful voice, there's a part 2 showing off a very early version of an ammo expansion manager as well. I don't know exactly when 0.0.8 will be done; I'm shooting to have it down by the end of the year but there's still quite a bit of work to be done, some of it very tedious and I don't want to do it, so we'll see.

honestly cant wait. With an ammo manager system I'll be able to run this with Project Malice and have a more tactical horror doom game.

Stuff is coming along pretty nicely. I put down the "by the end of the year" deadline but at my current pace I should be done way before that.
Anyway, the poll has spoken, the weapons were changed, and here you can see Wilhelm's new weapons in action. You can also see his improved HUD (better readability and more stylistically consistent with itself), mantling adjustments, Corruption updates and a lot of other background stuff.
So what is left? All major gameplay changes have been made, so now its just minor adjustments and graphical updates. My final list looks like this:
- Finish Wilhelm sprites. Means adding missing hands to CAWS, finishing the WA2000 and redoing melee hands. This is the one that is the most tedious and will take the most time
- Finalize MOLLE Manager. The final name of the expansion manager. Just nailing down the final values for caps, switching speeds, HUD format, small stuff like that. Its functionality is complete.
- Redo various muzzleflashes. Not critical by any means, but it makes the mod feel a lot more cohesive if all the flashes are the same style. This is mostly done, with just a handful of weapons left (Wil's CAWS, M320 and WA2000, John's China Lake, Helga's RPG-7, maybe Ofek's Remington)
EDIT: The "Finish Wilhelm sprites" task just got a lot more extensive, as both the CAWS and M320 need to be completely redone. Soon-ish is looking a lot less soon now. Still should have it done by the end of the year, but I was hoping to have it done by the end of the month but that's extremely unlikely now.

Hey wow, my little TODO up there, its done! So 0.0.8 is nearly ready and is in a final testing/polishing pass to try and catch any major issues. Expect to see it within the next week, two weeks at absolute most if nothing game breaking comes up. Technically there is more I want to add, but its all largely VFX type stuff that can wait for a 0.0.8b or something like that.

- Ammo caps are now a thing, and you have a rucksack to store extra gear with
- You can find pouches (and start with a bunch) to control your ammo caps. They are found in backpacks and on Marine corpses, both of which must now be manually used to search.
- Spawn Chance CVars have been added for ammo and gear
- Pain Response mechanic added, getting hit throws off your aim, don't get hit 4head
- You start with a flashbang now
- Medikits heal faster when holding still and slower when running
- New weapons for Wilhelm, John and Ofek
- Wilhelm feels 100000% less unfinished
- Father Ward now has proper melee and his cross acts more like a special move with an invisible resource
- Lots of bug fixes, visual updates, sprite animation tweaks, SFX adjustments and polish in general

HAve you considered bundling this with Immerse to get a better tactical feeling?

Not directly, but I am planning on adapting elements from it, like footsteps and maybe camera sway

I'm not keen on the cup of Lean because it's not something I would use or use in other games with it, so Im not inclined to take the effort to get it to work.

Okay, damn I was gonna wait a bit more for 0.0.8b but I found a crash and fixed it so I'm opting to release it now. There might be a 0.0.8c with some more visual stuff and minor gameplay tweaks if I don't decide to start any major features.

i have a strange bug where helga ak12 dont have firing sound but all other weapons have normal sound, i play on delta touch so that may be the problem but its really goofy how only the ak dont have sound

Hey there, just popping in to say hi and give a little update on what's been going on.
So yes, this coming version is still a ways off, but as you can see in this video (which is still very incomplete), I got a lot of stuff in the works. Honestly I'm hoping to get it out before the end of summer but I'm not making any promises.
But here's a quick outline of planned and in progress features
- Totally new HUD that a more immersive sci fi bullshit helmet HUD
- More unified UI design
- Bracing mechanic, for greatly lowering speed, recoil and pulses
- Weapon Maintenance overhauled to be faster but more involved
- Weapon Upgrades
- Lots of polish, bugfixes and VFX tweaks
- And more
