I encountered a bug. When I use your mod "Led's Generic Weapon Mod" (Updated 2nd April, 2023) with a vanilla doom map (Ichinichi) and no other mods, I get infinite ammo with all weapons. No Dehacked.
I have no infinite ammo settings on in gzdoom. I use the doomrunner launcher.
Tested in GZDoom Version: 4.11 stable and also 4.12pre

Voxels are not disabled when loading a new map

What do you think about the idea of making the BFG a gun that focuses on the green plasma ball instead of a "plasma hitscan shotgun that fires when the green ball hits the wall"? This is the only feature I don't like about vanilla weapons.

Also sometimes ssg and shotgun lags like crazy. Even though all performance settings are turned off. No other gun has this problem. While there is no problem even with the minigun with 6x fire rate, a base SSG shot can sometimes, alternate or not reduce 30 fps.

I found a bug:

with the "spawn modified items" option

when you take a super armor "blue" and it is below 100 armor you cannot take a normal armor "green"

Volume of weapons firing is too loud, mod's perfect otherwise.

Can you make a version with slower fire rate and reloading? Similar speed to Weapons of Saturn.

I've read it somewhere, but I still want to try: is there a good alternative HUD for this mod? Unfortunately, most HUDs don't work. By the way: a really cool mod!!! Thanks.

Just wanted to come back and say i've really liked how this mod has shaped up. It's a hard choice to choose between weapons of saturn and beautiful doom and this, really well balanced fun Vanilla+ mod.

Hi all, and very appreciative of all the feedback that's been received over the last few years! It's been 2 years since the last patch, but I'm still around, my life since then has mostly consisted of 50 hour work weeks, amongst other things. I always appreciate the love this project gets, and an update has been slowly chipped away at all this time, which will be released very soon - I have free time again, and am looking forward to picking this thing back up!

This is intentional, as blue armor still provides the 1/2 damage protection below 100, and personally I never liked picking up green armor in that instance :D

Neat idea, but probably not one I'm going to pursue in all honesty - would prefer to keep the weapons mostly unchanged! As for the performance issue, that's an interesting one... what are your specs? My main computer, and even my old laptop, with UHD 620 never had this problem, so I'm quite curious. I will do some experimenting, see if I can reproduce that!

Interesting... I know this is an oldish post, but was this ever reproducible? I have never ran into such an issue over the years... please let me know if you're able to reproduce!

FlexiHUD is quite a good one which I've started using recently, works quite well with the mod! Quite customisable, and looks great IMO.

Coincidently today just before getting to this thread i played DOOM, and found weapons were sooooooo too much noisy, thanks for the update about it ;)

Hello, I have two questions:

1). In the Beautiful Doom mod, the plasma gun and BFG have enhanced enemy death effects that turn slain enemies into burnt/smoldering corpses. It would be awesome if you could incorporate that effect into this weapon pack mod. Is that possible?
2). Is there a way to replace the existing rocket launcher with the rocket launcher from Brutal Doom V21? It's the version in this link: https://www.moddb.com/mods/brutal-doom- ... r-redesign

Thanks and great work on this mod, it adds so much more replayability to Doom!
