Wrath of Cronos Edited by ElPoder36
Hello community! how are you? well, I'm new to this, I have loved the Woc mod by Thetis, and the truth is that this presentation is based on his great work.
Warning: this contribution is made for DOOM2 style, that is, all operation is done in DOOM style. That is why the file contains the patches to use with the Iwad Doom2 (or similar).
For those who do not know this mod, this is a mod that makes RPG to the Hexen. Grants experience and level, stat points, skill branch for each class and 3 more classes apart from the known ones.
It is used in Hexen style obviously, but also certain patches, it can be used in doom style. As I already mentioned, this contribution I make is for doom style.
Well, since I like challenges, I did some specific things with what Thetis already did, all of this is to increase the action and difficulty making it somewhat more challenging for the player.
1) I modified some properties of the monsters to give them a little more power.
2) I had the Priest heal his allies with VileAttack, that is, with instant heal to the target in his line of sight, with sound effects and graphics. Heals a good amount and in a small radius to its target. On the other hand, use various directions to heal at a wide angle (with projectiles). Lastly, he can grant a 10 second shield of invulnerability to an ally.
3) I added a powerful enemy from the ChaingunGuy family called "Diabolist Persecutor" (MysticDiabolist), which is fast. When he does not see the player he enters a state of invisibility and invulnerability and wanders. When he sees the player or the player makes a sound, he wakes up normally.
Additionally, he grants his allies a buff that triples their damage for 20 seconds.
4) A interesting part. I took the idea of the debuff that the Hierophant generates, but I made a curse system, in which certain enemies curse us with VileAttack, this would be similar to the casting of the arch-vile, but when exploding, disadvantages apply to us.
I designed 7 curses:
* Curse of Slow: Slows walking movement by 60% for 15 seconds.
Casted for Succubus and ArchWizard.
* Curse of Frailty: Deactivate physical abilities and take double damage for 20 seconds. (Physical abilities disabled from the skill tree)
Casted for NewBishop, D'Sparill (_Sorcerer2) and Crimsonlich.
* Curse of Blinding: Applies a 1.0 red alpha, covering vision, lasts 5 seconds. It is casted for by FleshWizard and PyroSuccubuss.
* Curse of Decrepit: Reduces movement speed by 50% and damage by 70% for 15 seconds. It is casted for by ShadowWizard, Hierophant, and DarkPatriarch.
* Curse of Gloom: Silence and consume blue mana, green mana, and magick little by little over 8 seconds. (Silence is to block the use of weapons that do not require sharp objects for use and are magical, such as weapons 2, 3 and 5 of the mage, the weapon 3 of cleric, the 2 of the necromancer. Skills from the skill tree that are "magick" will also be blocked.)
It is casted for by Ghostie, Spectral Serpent (_Demon5), and Korax (_Korax).
* Curse of Root: Paralyzes position for 3 seconds. It is casted for by Vore and _Korax.
* Curse of Heartbreaker: Deals light but long damage for 40 seconds without armor reduction. Damage can be avoided by being invulnerable.
It is casted for by Skullwizard and D'Sparill (_Sorcerer2).
These curses have an effect similar to the fire of the archivil plus a sound that warns us that we are being the target of a casting. They can also be avoided if you are invulnerable (except with cheat "GOD" ).
To feel their cast on us and see the effect they apply to us, we have:
Purple for Curse of Slow, Green for Curse of Frailty, Red for Curse of Blindness, Blue for Curse of Decrepit, Dark purple for Curse of Root, white flash to warn effect of Curse of Gloom and the orange warning flashes debuff for Curse of Heartbreaker. All curses and blessings between enemies have visual effects applied.
5) On the other hand, although it is not a curse, we also have "disarmament", a debuff that disables the use of tangible weapons for 6 seconds. This means that those weapons that make use of the mind or hands without any object taken are out of this deactivated (weapon 1 of the fighter, weapons 2, 3 and 5 of the mage, weapon 3 of the cleric and weapon 5 of the necromancer).
This disarmament is caused by Centaur Leader (_CentaurLeader) and Maulotaur (_MinotaurHeretic) with charge it is 100% accurate.
6) Stun: Nullify the affected character for a short time. Certain enemies such as Stone Golem, Iron Golem, Gold Golem, Earth Lich, are not affected by their condition. It also does not affect BOSSES.
Caused by: Ettin Commander (ChainmailEttin) and Maulotaur with melee attacks.
7) Cooldown system:
Some of the abilities of each class have a cooldown so you know when to use them properly. These are clarified in the description of these skills.
Cleric, Mage, and Necromancer's weapon 4 all have a 5 second cooldown.
8) Various:
*Attacks during the Necromancer's morph cost magick (2, 4, and 6 respectively). Also, a melee attack was added to this form in case you run out of magick.
*Divine Punishment has 10 times the radius and deals more damage if the beam of light passes through enemies.
*Cost of certain skills modified, as well as the invested points of requirements.
* Cleric: The shield hit does not force pain but does have a chance to stun. If you are an Inquisitor, you are even more likely.
Paths:
* Cleric - Purifier: Now deals more secondary fire damage from Wraithverge in addition to reducing the magick cost to 9 and removing the cooldown of Holy Bolt.
* Fighter -
Grants special action when using the certain weapon according to the path and if you have lvl 10 of the mastery in question. Only for his melee form attack:
Commander speed up Timon'saxe; Destroyer grants stun on critical hits using HammerOfRetribution and Vanguard speed up Quietus and Vorpalblade.
How to make it work?
You just have to unzip the Woc folder where you like,
then add some iwad from doom 2 (preferably doom2.wad if you have it since the .bat has it configured like this
and it is where it will work 100% as it has been worked) and thenrun the batch file Woc .bat and that's it!
Go to Play! (Is Gzdoom 4.5.0)
Note: You must use the gzdoom.pk3 from the download folder, because it has a script a_viletarget24 required for it to work. If you use another gzdoom.pk3 you will get an error.

Re: WOC 3.1.4 Supp enemiges and curses
Interesting.
Do you have any screenshots and or gameplay of this project?
Has Thetis authorized other people to modify this, or are these patches loaded after his mod?

I can add screenshots of the curses and their message on the screen.
They are not new patches, they are small additions to your mod. I clarify in the publication that the author of the mod is him, respecting his work

Cool! Maybe you could link his mod as well, so people can download the original work for comparison.
Success to you!
