WadSmoosh - merge all official id releases into one PK3 IWAD

Any utility that assists in the creation of mods, assets, etc, go here. For example: Ultimate Doom Builder, Slade, WadSmoosh, Oblige, etc.

I keep getting this error when I try to use Wadsmoosh:

Fatal Python error: initfsencoding: unable to load the file system codec
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'encodings'

Current thread 0x000038b4 (most recent call first):

(I have already extracted the contents of the "base_library.zip" & put them in the same directory as WadSmoosh.exe)

You dont do that, dont extract that zip file, wadsmoosh works with that file compressed

but It didn't work with the file compressed either, instead, it gives me this error:

Finally got around to smooshing my wads into one, but ran into a problem.

When I load mods that have option menus while using the complete smooshed wad, the mod options menus are just not showing up. Only the WadSmoosh options menu is in the place where all mod option menus should be.

Am I doing something wrong, is this a thing, and is there a fix for it? Thanks in advance!

It is! It integrates them into the level flow as originally intended. It's recommended you get the bugfixed versions from the xboxspec.zip found at:

It is NOT compatible with Romero's other maps by default, no. However, JPL made an addon for it that can be found here:

Remove the DeHackEd (possibly use the DEHSUPP hack instead) and make a ZScript version that doesn't override the normal Mastermind, lol

ORRRRRR you can use the DEHSUPP hack (or just parse SIGIL II and remove the dehacked lump) and use some event handler shenanigans to buff the spider mastermind if SIGIL II is the current mapset.

Comes at a price, though:
TNT and Plutonia don't fit on the episode selection screen any more if you really integrate everything. TNT is partially not shown, Plutonia not at all. (Can still be selected, though.)

FYI, if your episodes list is cut off at the bottom of the screen in the latest release, I had to set "Disable Menu Clean Scaling" to "Off" under the Miscellaneous Options in GZDoom. Then the episodes list appeared like normal with all the episodes listed.

Ah, very well. I already guessed there must be an option for this somewhere. I was searching for some sort of scaling setting in MAPINFO, but there isn't any.
