Terminator Future Shock/SkyNET weapons

Post by CeeJay »

Out of curiosity, has anyone been able to successfully extract the weapons sprites from Terminator: Future Shock/SkyNET yet?

This is as close as I ever came: https://www.mediafire.com/file/sfbcvbze ... s.zip/file

Now, this is not the sprites themselves but .CFA and .RAW/WAV files extracted from the .BSA data files of Terminator SkyNet. The .RAW/WAV files are the sound effects (of unknown format) and I am almost positive the .CFA files are what contains the weapon sprites but have no clue as to how to open them/extract contents.

AFAIK, everything out there are edited screenshots.

However, I just recently came across FutureShock32, a remake of the engine of Terminator FutureShock + SkyNET.

Interestingly, “the whole project started as a model/map viewer for the games, but evolved to a full game in the end”, so I would assume that you can use that software to rip the assets too?

It's probably one the last remaining old-school FPS's not to have its resources extracted in full. Back in the day, XWE was able extract most of the textures as I recall, some graphics and some misc. sprites. I believe that is how I was able to access the .CFA files.

I tried the FutureShock32 port, my anti-virus really did not like it. Not one bit. From what little I played it seemed pretty okay and accurate.
