Stupid question about keeping gameplay settings on.

Post by Nems »

I'm pretty sure it's been asked before but I don't want to bump an old thread regarding this. Having something new and fresh should help other users who may need help with this. :P

How do I make jumping, crouching, and mouselook automatically default to 'Yes' when I boot up GZDoom? It's kind of annoying to boot up a wad that disables one or more of them and having to change Gameplay settings before I play said wad. I remember a long time ago that someone suggested making an autoexec to do that but I have no idea if that's something I could force through GZDoom's ini file instead. I'm dumb with code stuff. :P

Any help or suggestions on this is appreciated. <3

sv_crouch 2 sv_jump 2 sv_freelook 2

in AUTOEXEC.CFG.

2 means "override everything else".

If by chance you're looking for an alternative which lets you play the maps, respecting their layouts to prevent cheating, but always lets you crouch and jump, autoloading this mod may be of interest to you.
