The "Unknown property" errors are an incorrect version of GZDoom (requires a master branch version, no current release exists with the cvar_redirect option) - you can visit https://devbuilds.drdteam.org/gzdoom/ to get a dev build. (If you are not using Windows you can use the side bar to find GZDoom for the platform you are on)

The rest of the errors are because you packaged the files incorrectly. Hands of Necromancy is distributed in such a way that all .pk3 files must be moved in with the .ipk3 in order to function correctly - or you can use a zip tool to dump all *.ipk3 and *.pk3 into the same folder and repackage them as a single .ipk3 if you want. (No filenames will collide, the zip content files are split by function)

I'm sorry I do not use ZDL so I can't help you with that.

How do you properly repackage the files into one ipk3? What are the step-by-step instructions and the names of the programs you use to do it?
(sorry if I sound dumb, considering you explained it to some degree in your post)

Also, is it possible to turn this into some sort of weapon pack? to use in other IWADs I have(Hexen, Heretic, etc.).

Edit: After dumping the files into a folder & using 7zip to "add to HandsofNecromany.zip" I managed to successfully boot into the game with the mods I'm using right now.

The only thing I only want to say is: If the devs see this, please put some documentation into the game's files explaining how to do this, for the newcomers, or for people who have never repackaged an IWAD before.

The main question should be 'why?'
What do you gain from ripping the installation apart instead of just using it as-is? If you must use a more recent GZDoom version, just set its autoload to the game's installation folder.

less clutter in your folder, I'm one of those people that has all the IWAD I use with ZDL in the same directory as the GZDoom.exe. I know it sounds messy but in reality, I make a copy of every IWAD I use/have and also put them into one of two backup folders, one for IWADs made by Id, and another for IWADs made by the community like this one, and I only put the ones I will use into said directory.

That sounds like a bad trade-off. I'd also expect new games to go different routes than sticking to the traditional single-IWAD paradigm that just contains everything.

You can do whatever you want to your game as long as you don't distribute copyrighted content without permission (short of promotional type stuff like streaming it and whatever) - however we will not offer support for repackaging the game like this. As long as you add to your search paths the Hands of Necromancy folder then all you need is the single .ipk3 and it will load the remaining game data on its own - this is by design. The .ipk3 by itself essentially "-file"s in its remaining content; it only has to be able to find it.

The game is split into multiple archives for distribution purposes. It's easier to hotfix the code in a single .ipk3 file than it is to update the entire kit and kaboodle with textures, sprites, and audio, if it's unnecessary.

"Hands of Necromancy - Evil Rises Again" is released, it is a free expansion of 9 maps for the game.

You have to use the beta version of the beta branch on Steam to activate it, it will be in the other shops (GOG, Itch io) when this version will go live.

The progression is linear like in Heretic/Doom.

Awesome Emmanuelexe, great to see this continue to get support. It needs more love!

When it comes to tech: Any new features planned for the Redemption fork of GZ, which HON uses?

I've left this game on a side waiting updates for a couple of months and there has been a lot of additions from what I see. Alt-fires, an alt HUB system, and now even more levels?

I can't say I'll be playing again quite yet (busy irl) but I'm very happy to see this game getting more polishes and updates over time! Great job!
