Contrary to popular belief, we are not all-knowing-all-seeing magical beings!
If you want help you're going to have to provide lots of info. Like what is your hardware, what is your operating system, what version of GZDoom/LZDoom/whatever you're using, what mods you're loading, how you're loading it, what you've already tried for fixing the problem, and anything else that is even remotely relevant to the problem.
We can't magically figure out what it is if you're going to be vague, and if we feel like you're just wasting our time with guessing games we will act like that's what you're really doing and won't help you.

GZDoom crashing (not responding) randomly in co-op
is there any way to get some sort of crash log when doom either goes not responding or instantly crashes to desktop?

In the absence of a crash report you could have GZDoom generate a logfile
to see how far the loading process progessed:
https://zdoom.org/wiki/Installation_and ... om#Logfile
Maybe that will be enough to tell you what is going on.

it is happening in the middle of a co-op game. would this still give relevant info?
like we're playing then my friends game just suddenly freezes and crashes.
his computer is better than mine and also didn't happen before we updated to 4.10.0

That I do not know, I have not played multiplayer in more the 15 years.Dan_The_Noob wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 5:34 pm it is happening in the middle of a co-op game. would this still give relevant info?
Did you give +logfile a try to see if any useful info was written?
Crashes in midgame usually happen when something goes out of sync.
Are you sure that both of you are playing with the same version resources,
that is GZDoom and the pwad(s)?
Is viewtopic.php?style=19&t=45124 at all helpful?

hmm that topic doesn't seem to have anything about sudden crashes.
it's entirely possible the game is desyncing but usually it says "out of sync: 1" or something.
